I love that I can control my router with the app on my phone. The signal range of the router is really great too. We live in a 2300 sq ft home and there are no dead spots.

I was told by Cox I needed a router so I bought one and it ended up being something wrong with the modem which they ended up replacing. The router works fine but the service from Cox is awful.

Awesome Router, works great with all providers, one downside from keeping it 5 star is the antennae are a little difficult to install and can easily come loose.

When it came time to connect cameras, doorbell, garage door and still keep everyone happy with the tablets and Netflix I needed a strong router. This has done a great job!

no problems. everyone's happy. My son loves the speed and his games on xbox. I don't have to hear him yelling that the wifi is slow and to get offline when I'm my laptop doing my work.

Overall this is just ok. Netgear has added an antivirus software package to this which is completely unnecessary since i keep all phone and PC software up to date. Their push to get me to buy and install it acts more like malware than being helpful and they didn't give me a way to exit the trial. Blocks "suspected fishing or malware sites that are not AND inhibits my ability to stream my Roku TV enough to be a real PITA.

My old router just decided to stop working in under 8 months. This router is what it was replaced with and it does the same job. Good quality as described.

This router is very good for a normal distance like one bedroom, but if you go further like 3 rooms distance, you will not get an effective signal.

I am disappointed with this router as I can't even get my laptop to find and stay connected to my network one floor below from the room where the router is. It is installed via a phone app so that was good but I would have liked more instructions on how to setup the network and the guest. It was a good sale price but I am forced to use my laptop in the same room as the router (a bedroom) which is not convenient for teleworking.

I needed a replacement for my dying Netgear N900 router, and in a pinch I had to grab what was available - and that was this AC2300 offering from NetGear. Setup is "simplified" through the NetGear setup app, but I prefer direct manual entry via a laptop with a cable connected to a network port. Setup of regular and guest networks is straightforward. HOWEVER, in using this router for two days, I've *already* notice a show-stopper problem - inexplicable and unpredictable drops of the 5Ghz WiFi band. I have tried reorienting the unit, adjusting the antennas, changing the 5Ghz channel after using WiFi Analyzer, but all to no avail. The only thing I've tried so far (that hasn't yet been in place long enough to evaluate) is a forum recommendation to turn *off* MIMO! That might well fix it for the short term, but disabling MIMO is also disabling a key throughput feature - and throughput tests with this router were already about 1/3 lower than the N900 it replaced! Numerous queries on Netgear forums have produced no hard answers other than the MIMO suggestion. If that doesn't fix this, I will return this unit and likely pursue an ASUS unit as a replacement. PURCHASE WITH CAUTION! I am very likely right now to return this unit.

I bought this in March and immediately had intermittent connectivity with both wired and wireless connections. I have been on many call with support to troubleshoot - power adapter, wireless channels, disabling mimo, rolling back the fw, resetting, etc. They would eventually send me a replacement and I'm having the exact same issues. However if you read their community support site for this model you will see there are many people having this exact same issue and no updates or support from Netgear. I just would have liked to have read these issues before I purchased bc now I'm having to go through the support loop again as have so many others who bought this model. This is not a good router and Netgear should replace this with a different model as this should not be sold until there is a resolution. The only one right now is to buy a non Netgear product as it's been since early in the year and they still can't repair it.

I bought this router in July 2020, since December I have been having constant connectivity issues with both bands. I have to power cycle several times a day. Wednesday, Jan 6th 2021, I am not able to connect to 5G at all. I switched to 2.4g but the connection is very spotty. I called netgear and they said I am past the 90 days for any phone support unless I pay $90 and they will assist. They can email me some possible fixes for free. I was very disappointed that it is less than 6 months their product is not performing as it should. They sent the email with possible solutions which is a link to the netgear community for me to research the problem myself. I have updated the firmware based on the research I found myself and that has made the problem worse. I have 2 kids doing online school and both adults work from home. It has created such a frustration for us all. Netgear is not consumer-friendly.

Keeps dropping connection. My connection was fine with my cable company's AWG modem and rarely ever dropped connection. I find myself rebooting a lot to get the devices back online. However it could be due to the fact that we have more devices online during these uneasy times as well as other users with the same ISP all at home online as well..,
