I have used nighthawk routers for over 6 years at home and office and this is the WORST one I've ever owned. Worked okay for 3 months then have continually had problems with dropping our wifi. Happens 3+ times a day and requires a full power down to get it to work again (temporarily). Have spent OVER 50 HOURS with netgear support over the past 4 weeks and still doesn't work. They may consider replacement now. Oh--and you'll have to buy an EXPENSIVE 6 MONTH SERVICE CONTRACT to even get them to help. So disappointing. In short, an expensive router than requires an expensive service contract and lots of time to produce average performance.

This piece of equipment helped with my interest usage. Would buy again.

This is the second one I have purchased of the same model. The first one lasted just over a year. Not impressed but thought I give it another shot. It has good ratings so I'm trying one more time. If this one blows I'll change brands.

Purchased a Netgear R7000P in 2018. Maybe 9 months into owning the router the hardware failed. Called Netgear and they provided me a new router. During this past year I have had issues with the replacement router rebooting and the wireless network not working. Typically, when the wireless signal would stop working a reboot would correct it. I lived with the issues because the router was out of warranty and it would still work. Last month I decided to move the location of the router and powered it down and disconnected all the wires. Once I relocated the router and powered it on all the lights would just flash in sequence. The unit seemed to be stuck in a boot loop. I tried all the forums and all the methods to reset or reflash the software. I then called Netgear support. After talking to different reps, they concluded that it was a hardware issue and I needed a new router. I asked if I could pay to send the router back for repair and was told no! I asked for a partial credit to purchase a new router from Netgear and was told no! I was only told that I had to buy a new router and that I was out of warranty. I wasn’t looking for a free replacement, but I was looking for Netgear to realize that their product failed after 2 years and that is unacceptable. I would not recommend purchasing another Netgear product as their customer service is terrible and the fact that they charge for customer service after 90 days is a total joke. I will never purchase a Netgear product again!!!! FYI, just purchased an Asus AX6000 that has a 2 year warranty and works great!!! SUCK IT Netgear!!!!
