    Again the cable provider is key. If you don't have max speed you won't benefit. You might as well have the cheaper router.

    Product worked great until November 3 2021 until it failed. Lasted 2 2/2 years

    Constantly drops Internet service Every two or three hours. Works really well especially in a 3 story home and quality of signal strength is great but after five calls with netgear support to try and fix the loss of connectivity I’m returning this product. On the last call net gear support recommended to return the product.

    Does not work well through my entire 1980 sq ft. Home. The router stays upstairs so signal downstairs is slim to none.

    I wanted to like this router but one of the antennas broke. This affected of wireless range.

    It was a little confusing to setup. It is not strong enough to handle my smart TV, cellphone and laptop all at once.

    THE FIRST NIGHTHAWK WE BOUGHT MALFUNCTIONED AND HAD TO RETURN. SECOND ONE WAS GOOD, BUT CONNECTION IS NOT STRONG UPSTAIRS.

    So I've been a fan of netgear and a lot of routers in the past, but this thing is aweful... About 1 month after getting it, (past my return period) I started having random disconnects. Wifi would drop, and I would start suffering packet loss on the unit. I desperatly tried many online forums, disabling different elements of the wifi to get added stability, failure. Also - first thing I did before I get a response is updated the firmware - I always do when I get a new device like this. Anyways, after wasting a good 30-40 hours of troubleshooting, even going as so far as to try 3rd party firmware (that did stabilize the disconnect, but weren't able to get me speeds above 200mbp/s on wifi) I gave up. Ubiquity Nano HD arrived, and setup a simple PFSENSE router and not looking back. This thing is loaded with features, but they still have some major technical issues going on with this device even though its been out for years. Forums are flooded with these issues.

    Nice (When it's not rebooting itself)

    I've had the router just over a month, and it recently started resetting itself a few times a week. It recently factory reset itself without warning. I have had to run through new system setup almost every time it has restarted itself. Unfortunately I missed the return by date on this expensive paper weight.

    Not worth the premium price tag

    This router required constant rebooting in order to function properly. Port forwarding settings would randomly stop working, and towards the end of its life it started to cause even more issues. Firmware was always kept up to date. It finally died 1 month after its warranty expired. It lasted a total of 13 months.
