Horrible....took back

I hooked it up and only received 200 mbps instead of the 500 mbps that I normally had. Might not be compatible with frontier .....customer service is a joke with netgear.

Not what I expected

It drops constantly, just like the model below this one. I looked at comparison reviews but I failed to look at forums where everyone is stating since the latest update this drops constantly. And it does. At least once a day if not more.

DO NOT BUY

After 4 hours on the phone with Netgear, after arguing with them to fix it since it was one month out of the repair window, they sent a replacement. The replacement didnt' work, 3 more hours on the phone and they agreed to send another. I bought a new modem in case that was the problem, it wasn't. They almost shipped the second replacement to an address i don't live it. The second replacement arrived, still couldn't get it to work. I did everything they asked, checked every cable, nothing is working. DO NOT BUY. I ended up renting a modem/router from Cox. Do not buy from Netgear, life is too short.

GARBAGE!!!

Netgear has horrible support. God forbid you have an issue with this junk after the three month window. It will cost you around $150 for additional support and you get harassed every time you call requesting you to buy the support - even if you are wrestling with a hardware support issue. I ended up getting a replacement unit because mine was rebooting every day, disrupting work meetings. JuNk!! The replacement does the same thing. Every. Day. In addition, the UI is horrible. Setting up a backup share is very weird and only seems to work if you stand on your head or turn off all authentication. I'm no technical slouch either. Save your money and buy from another vendor.

Called net gear tech support and they said it was a known hardware problem and it cannot be repaired. They wanted to send me the same model. I returned it to Best Buy and replaced it with a different brand.

Unhappy with Netgear router

It keeps dropping. Requires a restart. All the stoftware is current and up to date. I wouldn't buy a Netgear product again. Replaced this with a Asus wifi6.

I Expected More...

Drops signal strength as well. My 10 year old WNDR4500 router did a better job... I was hoping to get more coverage with a new router. But no more or less than the WNDR4500. Pretty disappointed in the Nighthawk

WIFI drops randomly multiple times a day

It was a great router....until a firmware update seems to have wreaked havoc on it. I constantly get drops in my wifi and for a while it even dropped my wired connections. They wanted $90 dollars for tech support and I wasn't willing to pay that when I called before my 1 year hardware warranty was up. (Silly me I thought the tech support would be the same as the hardware warranty, Nope! 90 Days) I have done everything recommended by factory resetting, going to the latest firmware....I still get my wireless dropping multiple times a day. Make it really hard to have a video or audio meeting with work. Will not recommend or buy again.
