Don't buy, nothing but trouble
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The router is buggy as hell, most of the time you cannot connect to it from a PC using the login page. The app is HORRIBLE extremely slow and does not see the router most of the time. When you first install it there are at least 6 firmware updates, looks like they are trying to fix a bad product. There is also way too much adware on a router - really it's a router! Called tech support, been on hold 40 mins so far, been the 5th person in the queue for about 10 mins. Unless tech support (if I ever get through) have a magic fix for, I will be returning this product.

Didn't work.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup was convoluted, difficult, and ultimately a failure. This router was incompatible with my cable modem that I purchased at the same time, from Best Buy. I expected to simply plug and play, but no such luck. Three days of effort and help-desk consultations and the best part of the experience was Best Buy's return policy, which is great.

Nighthawk netgear
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were not happy with this, it had some sort of technical issue, within the year we bought it. If we wanted help to have it repaired we would have had to paid as much for the technical support as what we paid for the router. We do not have cable tv so not only was this an inconvenience to our internet service but also for watching tv. We had held on to our old net gear router, which is server also years old hooked it back up and we were back on line.

Router
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good router, but awful software. Can only connect to it when on its WiFi, so if the WiFi isn’t working its impossible to connect to it through the app.

Linkys was better!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told by several people that Netgear would increase the search speed on by iphone and internet. Not even close. When I open my laptop and try to search, the speed is not only unimproved, but noticeably slower! Linkys was a much better product. I rue the day I paid $165 for a slower performing product. Unbelieveably, Best Buy has a 15 day return policy, otherwise, I would have returned it. It has been my experience that stores have at least a 30 day policy. I will be shopping elsewhere in the future.

Worst router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router 4 months ago. Before it was disconnecting everynight and I had to restart the router and last night it stopped working. The router is on but it does not show up in connections. I called customer service and instead of solve the problem they want to sell me the firewall for $300 for 3 years or they cannot fix the problem. I would not recommenced this router to anyone . I would rather buy something better for $300.

Failed within 24 hrs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.R7000P was to be a replacement for a failing R7000 that I had for two years. Sorry to say that the R7000P failed within 24Hrs with a boot loop issue after a firmware upgrade. Even the factory reset failed to wake this unit up. I had issues with two R7000P within 24 hrs of use so I switched to another brand in 2017.

Do not buy if you have 1GB internet
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No matter what I tried I could not get this router to hit the speeds my internet provider gives hooked directly into my modem. Every time I speed tested with this router max I got was 224Mbps down, when connected directly to my modem my PC was getting around 960Mbps down. I tried firmware, full reset, everything and it would not give me the proper speeds.

This product is not good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this router trying to improve my experience with more stable wide wifi connection at home, I regret to buy this router as it has brought only more problems. This router drops connections, don't waste your money. Please look the feedback on the web. I've been trying to workaround and solve the random disconnections with no success. I stopped using it after 1 month of use.. if you have an ISP modem preferable keep using it than the R7000.

Avoid this and get a Linksys
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First one ij bought worked for 4 hours out of the box and failed. Returned for a replacement and the second one lasted almost 3 days. Thankfully Best Buy is good with their customers and allowed me to return it for a Linksys model. Haven't had an issue since, so do your research up front and avoid this one!

5G drops Netgear Customer Service is horrible
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed May of 20. Worked great until enabling the Armor trial. Since that point experience connection issues numerous times during the day. Called Netgear and they can’t do anything because they claimed I purchased this router serial number Nov 2018. Sure I bought it to sit around for 19 months and not use it. Read the reviews online concerning their Netgear Armor router protection and you will not buy this product.

Kept dropping wireless
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having this router for a year, I wish I had bought something different. The wireless signal dropped at least twice a week and forced to reset and power cycle it. The configuration UI and setup is clunky, to log into the admin setting you need to remember the pin and/or the router serial number. I regret buying this to this day. I bought the Asus AC1900 as a replacement and should have made that decision one year ago.

Router works.
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The router works but the WiFi resets every time more than 2 or 3 devices connect so it can redistribute the WiFi signal. After months of support team help and firmware changes and replacement power supply I decided to replace it with something else. The MIMO doesn’t work which was the purpose of buying this unit. Now I know.

Not worth the price tag
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is old technology and is absolutely hot garbage for the money. It advertises MIMO, but you actually want it off or your devices will randomly lose connection from the internet as it tries to balance a load. This design is 4 years old and there still isn't firmware to address this.

Terrible router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If there was a minus star that is what I would give. I haven’t had it a month and having all kinds of issues with dropped coverage. I bought this to replace a Apple time castle that I have had for about 5 years. Wish Apple still made them. This router drops coverage several times a day for what seems to be no reason. I have good speeds through Specturm. I wanted to buy my own instead of renting one but tired of issues.
