DID NOT WORK OUT OF THE BOX ... WE HAD TO CALL CABLE PERSON TO ASSIST DETERMINING WHY INTERNET NOT CONNECTING ... DROVE BACK TO BEST BUY ... WAITED 35 MINUTES IN LINE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE TO EXCHANGE ITEM ... ONCE WE EXCHANGED CONNECTION AND SELF INSTALL WENT PERFECTLY ...

5G signal stoped work in 2 weeks. Exchanged it for AC2600.

Did not work well in this house, especially on the second level.

Lousy router. Coverage in my house was terrible and had to return it. Installation was also difficult, no instruction manual, rather all on line which is difficult when you don’t have internet connection when you are installing the router.

Worked great for about 4 months then quit working.

Had issues with it and returned it. I exchanged it for a Linksys one and so far no issues

The GUI is terrible and there are no instructions USB storage does not work.

The router wouldn’t update via the app. Netgear sent out a email stating you needed to update. Used the web update, since the app didn’t work. Bricked the router. I now have an expense door stop. Netgear wants $90 to provide support. Went back to my Airport that is rock solid. I would not buy Netgear agian.

When it works it’s fine but it has irreversibly bricked itself mid-firmware update 2 separate times now in 1 year and has to be replaced again. This time Best Buy won’t do it for me on the spot unfortunately so it’ll have to be sent away for NETGEAR to either fix from their end or replace

I bought this for my son for college so he and his roommate would have a good router. We have had to call Netgear several times because it just loses connection with the internet. We end up having to call and pay $49.99 just to have it reset. The worst service and device!

Keep dropping internet. Ended up returning to store.

At 2 feet from unit i was getting 250 Gbps with a 500 Gbps subscription. At 10 feet it dropped to 50 Gbps and at 25 feet with 1 interior wall it dropped to 5 Gbps. I used a laptop and a smartphone and got the same results. I returned this item.

Would not stay connected to the Internet. Tried all the remedies available on all the tech sites including Netgear. No dice. Not a problem with my modem or carrier. Best Buy only gave me store credit. Buy this router at your own risk.

Didn’t really work for even the three main channels

Unfortunately, this router did nothing for me. I had a seven year old Airport extreme that was not able to reach my upstairs in my new home. I bought the Netgear because of all the great reviews but it was no better than my old router. I ended up returning it and buying a Velop.

First off, let me say setup is a breeze and is very user friendly for those that aren't as familiar with networking. With that said, I utilize some of the more advanced features on routers such as port forwarding and VPN. Regardless, I am familiar with Netgear's router operating system and have no problems navigating it. This router is feature & performance rich which is why I was excited to add it to my home network. Features like MU-MIMO seem to have really boosted my wireless network performance. I can have anywhere close to 20 devices in my house at a time connected which has historically stressed some of my routers. No issues with this one thus far. This product is feature rich at a competitive price. I would definitely recommend you take a look if you're in the market for a router. I bought this a little over a year ago stopped using it after a few months went to try and use it again and I can't get it to work and the tech support is no longer available after 90 days it's a stupid expensive paper weight. Don't waste your time!
