    New Apartment

Moving into a new apartment and very satisfied with the router thus far. It's definitely more than we need, but works great for all that we do. We both game a lot and have two phones, an xbox one, xbox 360, switch, and laptop connected most of the time, and then guests when they're here. Haven't had any problems with it so far!

We bought this router to replace an older unit. It has performed very well, considering we are a family of many devices and often we are all using them simultaneously. It doesn't hurt that we have gone fiber optic, but the router is no longer the bottle neck in our setup.

A huge improvement over the internet-provider issued cable modem/router, night and day difference for the better. I actually get the speeds I pay for, with loads of added features and controls. A slight hiccup when the firmware updated, needed to power cycle the router and modem, but smooth sailing after that

It is fast, it is strong but not much strong. I didn't really get any improvement of signal strength compared to my old router(about 6 years old but same price range). I am happy with the purchase. I paid $100 if it was more I'll buy the ones that come with 3 pieces...

Just moved to Alaska and I wasn't sure what router to select that will allow me to work remotely from home. After explaining my needs with the sales associate we decided on the Nighthawk AC2300. After using it for a few weeks, I haven't had any issues at all.

    Replacement for Apple AirPort Extreme

This router is definitely faster than my aging Apple Airport Extreme. The UI on the Netgear Nighthawk mobile app for the iPhone is extremely user friendly. My only complaint is the range is only just a little better then my almost 10 year old Airport Extreme.

This unit has some features not used by most people. it works well in a single-story home and had about a half a block distance outside the house and looks impressive. We just put it in a closet and we’ve almost forgot about it works so well

    Great Netgear Support

There will always be one or more failures in a product when the product is mass produced (look at cars), this is why the resolution is important. Bought this router (R7000P) and installed it 3 days later. 13 days later it died. Best Buy policy did not allow a return but Netgear support was great. A new router is on the way, 2nd day, at no charge. As all router brands can fail and that the Netgear support was as good as it was, I will buy Netgear products again. This is my 2nd Netgear router over the last couple decades and the features, for both, were excellent. Installation is always easy and quick. I have also had routers from other companies but the support, when needed, was never as good as the support from Netgear.

I was steered in the direction of buying this Netgear/Nighthawk product. My computers were so slow and freezing too often. After I installed the Nighhawk AC2300, the screens started to change often. No freezing or slow screen changing. I love it!

I needed a router fast and despite bad reviews I’m happy. This was one of my better purchases. I have fast speed, security, the ability to set up a guest password, I am loving the armour security component, saves me in the long run time, headaches and money. Great product

I’ve always had issues with the routers I previously bought, but this one has by far exceeded my expectations. It never drops speed and never cuts out. To be fair, I’ve only had it about a month so I don’t know how it will be long term, but if it keeps going the way it is, it’ll be the only router I ever need!

Get the R7000 unless this is super on sale

Absolutely a great router. Netgear has worked out most of the kinks with the stock firmware, and it's also supported by dd-wrt if you're into that stuff. Hindsight being 20/20, I would rather have purchased the R7000 (this is the R7000P). It's got way more third party firmware support, and in my opinion the extra few hundred Mbps of bandwidth is kinda silly, especially since my internet only hits 200Mbps on paper. I bought an R7000 in 2015 for our small office hosting a NAS to two satellite home offices. It's been running 24/7 for 5.5 years, and now it's pushed even harder serving 12 employees who primarily work remotely. Sure the R7000P might prove to be as much of a beast. But the R7000 can roll with the punches, can run Tomato and Merlin, AND it costs less.

It works as advertised. I've only had it a little over a month and so far so good. I don't have any more glitches with my wi-fi on ALL of my electrical appliances...TV's, Google Mini's, cell phones and my computer. The signal gets out through out the whole house with no problem.

This router requires you to download an app to set up the router. With this app you can always check your speed and change your password. You can set up a password for a guest so your password will remain secret. I can receive my signal all around my home or in my shed.

I have many devices connected to WiFi at one time and this router keeps up! Easy to set up, and Netgear has great customer service. The Geeks Squad protection plan has come very handy for when I’ve had power surges. I’ve been able to replace my router every time!!

I've recently had to purchase my new NETGEAR - Nighthawk AC2300 Dual-Band WIFI 5 router. Because my old NETGEAR Nighthawk 1700 went out. And I wanted something to handle multi-able devices and It's been great and I like it very much!!

I had issues with the unit overheating. When I attempted to contact customer service, because I could not return it to Best Buy, I was never able to contact anyone. The voice recognition system for Netgear wouldn't/couldn't understand me and kept reiterating the same prompts. HORRIBLE service for a technological organization. Very disappointed!
