Great WiFi Router
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a router between my Modem and my internal network. I was able to easily setup this mode. Getting my Website up took a small amount of effort, but took only minutes to setup. Overall THE BEST Router I have used!!!

Great when it works!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace an aging ASUS dual-band router. Initial setup was easy. After getting all my devices connected, wired and wireless, started encountering buffering issues while streaming YouTube videos on my Apple TV 4K. My ISP is fast enough to stream 4K videos and game online simultaneously and this router can’t handle 4 wired devices and up 14 wireless devices in a 2-person household. I tried changing the MTU settings, changed WiFi channels, and even played with the Fragmentation and CTS/RTS threshold settings to see if I could get a stable connection to any device. No change still had issues across all my wireless devices! You shouldn’t have to be a networking expert to get this thing running smoothly. Returned and exchanged for a Linksys router. Much better!

Great Wifi Router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great wifi router. So far we have about 30 items connected to it and have not experienced any issues. Seems to work good across a 4500 sq. ft. home as well so don't need an extender right now.

Might be fine for basic use but not for advanced.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because I liked Netgear products and wanted the features this router offered. I have since found a profound dislike for Netgear because of this product. For some reason Netgear has decided that they know better than you do and will change settings on you. Specifically, it would change the router IP saying that there was an IP conflict on my network. I have a fairly complex setup and this action really would mess things up for me. I'd go ahead and reset everything to how I wanted it and things would be fine for awhile then bam, it would decide that I had another IP conflict and change things on me. This happened several times and got to the point where I removed this router from the network and replaced it with an Asus router. No more problems and I am much happier with my system as it now is.

Fixed My WiFi Problems
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was having issues streaming 4K and Dobly Vision/Atmos content with my last router/modem combo. I think it was interference from my LG SN11RG Soundbar. Upgraded to a Netgear Orbi Mesh system, and was still having issues. Finally took the plunge and went and got this WiFi 6 router, no issues so far. I don't recall having any issues setting it up.

Good range and home coverage
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router works well. But, not as well as the sales people believe. The number of 2.4ghz devices in my home has already exceeded the capabilities of the router. With just a few 2.4 and 5ghz in your home, it works very well. So well, that its really hard to beat.

Rubbish
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this in early May 2020, started having issues mid December and it stopped working altogether by February 2021. So if you're looking for a $500 router that will only be reliable for 7 months and then die after 9 months, this is the model for you. Personally I expected many years of use from my electronics. When this Netgear router became a paperweight, I dug up a 15 year old Apple router in my basement and got back online lickity split. I'm ticked off beyond words, as this Netgear device was touted as the latest and greatest high speed router and had features far surpassing my old Apple router. After 9 months it has nothing left to give apparently. Netgear customer support is nothing of the sort. You only get 90 days telephone support, after that it's $200 for a 2 year support subscription. Excuse me? I already paid $500 for the defective device...that should be 4 years of service out of the starting gate. Buyer beware...just because it has bells and whistles doesn't mean they'll last. If anything it should have lasted to the 1 year warranty. Customer support wouldn't even talk to me about warranty, let that sink in for a minute...I bought it in May 2020, today is mid March 2021, it's "under warranty for a year" but they won't talk to me about fixing under warranty. Doesn't add up. My recommendation, get D-link, Cisco, Linksys, or hey just use your cell carrier data plan if you want a more reliable device. This thing is a headache and a half. Tried factory reset, rolled back the firmware, tried it as a WAP. Got an average 52% packet loss on ping with every configuration I attempted. Utter rubbish.

Netgear WiFi 6 Router Just didn’t make it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router started out great, however not even a month of ownership and the WiFi went wonky. The download speed was blazing fast however today 1/21/2022 the upload speeds dropped to 24 mbps and I spent an hour resetting the router, setting everything back up and tested again. However the same issue occurred again. I had no choice but to return to Best Buy who accepted it back and refunded my money. I purchased a TP-Link AX3200 which after a little glitch on setup which was my fault installed and works great. I hope this router lasts longer than 25 days.
