A: I have it and I use it from about 40+ feet away and only lose about 200 mbps down. Through multiple rooms. Great router. Highly recommend using the 5GHz networks for faster speeds.
A: It can reach 200 ft outside of my home if that helps you !!
Q: Is this router going to accommodate 5G signals?
A: The router supports 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz Frequency band.
Q: is this router works with xfinity (comcast) ?
A: It works with mine. I have the gig speed connection and an Arris T25 modem to make the connection to Comcast/Xfinity.
A: So I actually went in to the Best Buy store yesterday and discussed this with one of their experts, I suggest you do the same because they will tell you the best one to use based on what your needs/issues are but they said that Netgear is going to blast a lot of extremely fast wifi over a shorter area and the Orbi is going to cover my patchy spots around the house where I don't get good coverage.
Q: What are the dimensions of this device?
A: Dimensions: 11.7 x 3.07 x 8.3 in Weight: 3.2lbs. Hope this helps.
Q: Does it include a Firewall?
A: Yes. NAT and SPI
Q: Does this router come with VPN Client Support?
A: Yes, it comes with VPN support. You need to first sign up with a DDNS service like No-IP if you have a dynamically assigned IP address(almost all residential internet providers), and the setup is slightly complicated, but most users with basic reading skills and a general knowledge of setting up a router can pull it off. If your looking for a more enterprise type of VPN, you might wanna look elsewhere. There aren't any builds of DD-WRT or any other open source router OS available, with really no hope for future builds to come, due to the chipset used within this router. Works great if you disable all routing features and use it as an access point. 2.5G LAN and Ethernet aggregation are the only reasons I purchased this model. Using it as an access point, connected directly to one of my pfsense router 10G Ethernet ports.
