RAX
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, when I bought this in 2020, for around $600, I was expecting more. I think it’s just Netgear creating faulty products that last about 2-3 years. As I read other reviews with lower stars, we all have the same issue. Worked great at the beginning, not as good 2 years down the road. I am getting 600 MBPS on my 5G network, but I have a 1200 MBPS cable plan with Xfinit, I am suppose to get about 80% of that 1200, so around 960, but I have yet to hit that recently. On my 2.4G network, I’m suppose to hit 50-60% of 1200MBPS, well max I’ve ever hit was 160MBPS. I have a fancy modem, Cat8 Ethernet cables, about 5-12 hours of time waiting and chatting with their support team, yet it is not enough. Very disappointing at the end of the day, but I am just glad I got warranty.

Poor DHCP Handling
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The device will run fine for a week, but will suddenly drop connections. While the device has an IP address assigned the devices themselves are assigning their own IP address and never accepting the router's. No amount of restarts of the modem, device, or router will resolve it. I have to reset the router and redo the entire set up process -- often two to three times -- before getting back online. I have over 44 smart devices throughout the home. After about a week they all go offline and I have to spend 2 hours resetting this $500 brick to get everything working again. Unsat! Going back! I have a back-up AirPort Extreme that I use that is reliable, but not a fast. Speed vs reliability? Reliability wins every time in my book.

Easy, but tricky
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great router! Power down your old router, if you will be using the same login info.

Good but not great for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While design wise it looks nice, if the antenna cable doesn’t retract correctly when standing the antenna body, they stay lose. I had issues w devices disconnecting randomly and for the price I paid I spent more time troubleshooting vs just browsing and streaming away

Impressed
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally I was able to downgrade to using only one router! Wow! So far so good. Wi-Fi speeds are exceptional. I’ve only had this about a month and no issues so far. I went from 2 nighthawk routers (one was used as an extender) to only using this one.

It's okay but lacking security
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to replace an aging (and dead) Linksys router. It lacks TLS/SSL encryption for the admin login page, which I find very concerning and some of the pages aren't quite as robust (for example the devices page) so I can't give this anything more than 3 stars for this price ($500 at time of purchase).

Typical Netgear Junk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For as expensive as this device is you would believe that it would work. It absolutely does not. After being through several netgear routers and mesh systems I've come to a conclusion that I will never give Netgear my money. They make terrible, terrible products. Buy linksys, tp link or asus... you'll be much happier.

Didn’t fit my setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Returned it for the Asus mesh router. The Asus system allows me to use them as extenders if I ever upgrade. Feel like it gave me more options. Nothing against the Netgear. Never even took it out of the box.
