Netgear's Last Chance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this to replace my faulty Netgear AX6000 that kept randomly dropping connection only to be met with this one being faulty and dropping connection every 30 minutes. Debating on giving Netgear another shot. I'll probably go back and replace it with the AX6600 or so and if that fails too I'm not getting another Netgear router

Terrible product
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 2300 sq ft apartment that is divided into three floors. Ever since I got this place, I have been searching for a solution and I was hoping I found one with this item, but even with a gig connection, I wasn’t getting more than 10mb on different floors. On the same floor where the router was plugged in, I wouldn’t get to 100mb. In other words, it doesn’t work like the item says and isn’t worth this price.

Disappointed!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Spent 2.5 hrs. on the phone with Netgear tech support. Tech tried multiple methods of troubleshooting the issue remotely and testing, re-updating the firmware, & router still drops signal constantly. Have to reboot router at least 2-3 times daily. Not what I expected from Netgear’s top product. I’m a 20 year Netgear user. For the first time, I’m totally disappointed with their product.

Horrible Connectivity
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because my previous router was lacking in speed, it was a R7800 and I loved it. This new one drops connections to my smart devices constantly. If I could return this I would.

Expensive WiFi-6 device doesn’t hold up like older
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Poor excuse for a high dollar WiFi-6 router. Lots of high end features but reliability is suspect due to numerous random “hiccups”. WiFi-6 requires WiFi-6 adapters and chipsets which are still not prevalent. MU-MIMo features didn’t benefit (+|- 2%) at all even with my WiFi-6 devices?

I expected so much more but
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Moved into a new apartment and got At&t Fiber for the full 1 Gbps and watched the video to IP Passthrough WAN from supplied Fiber modem into the Netgear AX-11000 and no dice! Speed test dropped dramatically using the AX router. Going to return and try out a different brand.

Good hardware, just a few more FW bugs to iron out
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The RAX200 is an interesting beast. It seems like the bigger brother of the RAX120 but they are actually different chipsets and all. This one has 3 radio bands and all 3 support the latest WiFi standards 802.11ax. The 2.4GHz will work like we're used to and be as slow as so too because honestly that's just a busy channel for everything. The 5GHz is where the magic starts. You get much higher speeds than just 802.11AC because it supports higher speeds. Now your device(s) need to support this also. For example my Galaxy S10 does. So I can get higher speeds further away. I have 1Gbps internet and can get about 600Mbps on my mobile phone depending where I am. Areas that I would normally get 200-300 on AC I get 400-500 on AX so definitely an improvement. The second 5GHz band comes in handy for two possible things. If you want to connect a range extender (but lets be honest, with this you probably wont need one) it lets you do so on a dedicated band, OR if you want to use one for one use case/devices and the other for another you can. It does have a few flaws but these are firmware ones and they are working on them (I personally am talking regular with the original product team). It does not yet support WPA3 but the beta FW I just got has it in and seems to be working. It has some issues with WiFi calling on USA based S10 on some providers. Other phones such as apple etc. WiFi calling seems fine on. Since latest firmware I've not had any reboot or disconnect issues. It also has a 2.5Gbps network port. For those like me in a new house with all new goodies my new switches are multi-gig. So I can get up to 10Gig, this bad boy connects at the 2.5Gig network instead of the normal 1gig though. If you don't have newer wire to support or multi-gig switch you can also take two 1gig ports and combine them as well (if your switch supports). This is all what used to be enterprise level features now becoming consumer! Overall I think it's a good router once the firmware is ironed a little more. The price I feel is slightly on the high end BUT it's also bleeding edge so you pay for that...

This Router is Magical!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do you have kids or family members that yell at you, or each other, when the internet stops working? Do you hate restarting your router because the signal drops or your "password is incorrect", even though you're certain you know how to spell your favorite child's name? Do you hate it when even your smart assistants won't do what you ask because the internet isn't working? If your answer was yes to any of these questions, stop what you're doing and buy this router! If you're reading these reviews, you must be here because you're trying to find a way to justify spending THAT much on a router. "Surely it can't be worth THAT much money," you think to yourself as your daughter upstairs yells that you're stupid because she can't post a selfie without needing to use her cellular data. Ladies and gentleman, this router will stop those complaints from your loved ones and then some. You will feel like a hero for finally buying a reliable router that might as well not exist anymore because you can set it up in 10 minutes or less then forget about it (after you easily update the firmware of course! Because you're smart and *ALWAYS* check if the firmware needs updating when you get a new item out of the box, right?). I suggest using the Nighthawk App to set it up. Your wife and children will be in awe that you named the router, chose a password, and updated the firmware all from the comfort of your recliner. Easy breezy! And then when they shame you for something unrelated to the internet, because the internet doesn't stop working with this thing, you just pull up your fancy Nighthawk app and turn off the wifi signal just to their device. Because you're a good parent. And let's be honest, because you can. Did I mention that I am getting **wifi** speeds faster than what I am paying my cable company for? My children think I am somewhat of an internet god now because I pay for 200 Mbps download/10 Mbps upload but every time they check the speed, they're consistently getting 235+Mbps download/12+Mbps upload. My son downloads his video game updates in mere minutes (because god forbid he goes outside instead while he can't play his games) and never gets disconnected from his online game chat anymore. My wife is also able to spend "our" money at record speeds online because there's nothing slowing her down now! Sure, I may just get another mug this Christmas that says #1 Dad. Only this year, I think they'll actually mean it! In all seriousness, I truly love this router. I received this product as part of Netgear's First Look Review Program so I can appreciate why someone may not want to drop so much money on a router. BUT I actually bought my sister one for her Christmas present because I believe it's worth every penny. We also spend several days at her house over the holidays and she doesn't own a TV, but I digress. I earnestly recommend this router to anyone with a large home that has any dead spots, especially if you're looking to "future proof" and/or stop (some of) the daily complaining. I even enjoy sitting on my back porch, where I know my kids won't be on account of it being outside, with no drop off in signal and easily over 150 ft from the router. You can't go wrong with this router!
