Upgraded to gigabit internet, then tried this, it cannot do gigabit over Ethernet.

This is my 2nd one and Stop working lasted for 5 months.

I received the Nighthawk RAX200 as part of the Netgear first look program. I was excited when I finally got it in because it seems as if I am continuously adding new wireless devices to my home network. From TVs to phones, laptops, and I am even planning to get some wireless cameras. I thought a device with the new wifi 6 support would be great to have. I have been in IT for nearly 20 years, but this review isn't going to be technical. I realize from my experience that most people want to know one thing and that is will it work. And to answer that question, I say yes. Since I replaced my home wifi router with the RAX200, it has been a solid device. What I appreciate about Netgear is they have simplified the setup process by using a web or mobile app to walk users through the setup. For those that aren't as tech-savvy, it makes setup a lot easier. If you are tech-savvy, then you don't have to use the setup wizard. Once I had the RAX200 setup, all my devices connected to the SSIDs I duplicated from my previous router. I was up and running within 20 minutes. I used the web interface to set up the RAX200 but afterward, I downloaded the mobile app to see what it had to offer. The concept behind the mobile app is good, but I had some issues with it locking up on my phone. This may have something to do with my phone so I am not saying the app has an issue. The app provides a convenient way to see what is connected to your home network and gives control to block devices that you may not want to be connected. I see this could come in handy if I needed to prevent one of my kids from accessing the network at certain hours. I also just connected a wireless extender (Nighthawk AX8) to the RAX200. I have an external garage and was getting a fair wireless signal from the RAX200, but the AX8 provided and excellent signal while connecting back to the RAX200 with a dedicated wireless connection. According to the RAX200, the wireless link connected at around 1.5G. I had it set up in about 10 minutes using the mobile app. This included upgrading the firmware on the AX8. While I feel the device itself deserves 5 stars, the only reason I have it at 4 is because of the price point. While it seems to be a great device, I think Netgear will need to be a little more competitive on the price in order for this to be marketed as a home solution. But, home users that are going to buy this, are buying it to connect a lot of wireless devices and they want these devices to perform as they should without decreased performance. From my testing, the RAX200 can do this.

Summary: this is the best consumer router I have ever used! I've gone through many of the top of the line consumer routers and none have been able to establish a consistent WIFI broadcast range until this one. This is my #1 most important feature I need for my large home. Not only do I almost have full bars from the opposite corner of the house, I'm getting 200Mbps on speed test which is the maxium of my home internet connection. If you are looking for speed and range, this is it! Setup: I had a little issue using their android app but the problem was more my phone than the app. Using the web interface, I was able to quickly configure whatever I needed. Firmware update was simple and quick. Price: the price is high but if you have connection/range issues or really want a speedy router, I can't recommend this enough. Been working well for over 3 years :) easy to use and easy to configure.

I bought this a 1.5 months ago after being happy with our last nighthawk and the impressive specs of this one. However like several folks have said, it does not seem that the cooling fan ever comes on and more importantly it reboots several times a day. I have called customer support many times, tried everything they had me do for a week and still the same reboot issue. Unfortunately yesterdays three reboots were the last straw for us and we are returning the router. When it works, it's everything Netgear listed and I love the app, but is not worth the headache of being kicked off daily.

I just installed this brand new AX11000 and setup was easy and speeds have increased for all my devices that are wifi 6 and non wifi 6. The nighthawk app is next level with control. The 2.5gb port brings your wired devices next level speeds. Its only been a few days with this router and will submit more reviews in the future how it performs. No speed lag or drops yet. Netgear is the king.

This router is fast sleek design and so easy to set up

Coming from an Apple AirPort Extreme, I expected the performance improvement from the Nighthawk. What I did not expect was the simplicity and convenience of setup. The router has been rock solid, and I had it ready to go - including my laundry list of poor assignments and whatnot - in less than 10 minutes.

My internet feed is not in the most ideal spot in my lower level. With this router it reaches every room in the house with minimal signal loss and has the latest technology that is backwards compatible with my older WiFi devices and my kids latest greatest gaming and streaming devices.

Wow, this router has definitely filled some "dead" spots within my home. My device to device speed has definitely increased in comparison to my previous Netgear RS400. I no longer see a decrease in performance when all of our devices are connected. The setup out of the box is pretty simple with the Nighthawk App. I wanted to give this thing the full test and set it up manually as well. There were no instructions or detailed "quick startup" guide however, making the installation a little difficult if you aren't tech savvy. The routers interface is also different from what I am used to with other Netgear routers. If you have experience with this type of technology, setup will not be that difficult and you can configure this router with as much detail as you want. The features are top notch allowing you to custom configure as much as needed. I would recommend this router to family and friends if they had the extra money and could afford it. The only downside I have seen to this router is the price, as it is expensive and you might be able to find the same features from another router. I do not think you can go wrong with this router though! Note: I did receive this router in exchange for an unbiased review through a test and review program with Netgear.

I am a huge fan of Netgear products. This is the latest and greatest in their WiFi Router line and it flawless in design and performance. A true upgrade from a giant in the home networking business.

This router is the real deal. The speeds are way faster than my old router and it reaches even the furthest spaces in my home. I couldn’t be happier with my Nighthawk purchase

I’ve been through multiple routers and have not been able to find one that allows me to get the actual speeds I’m paying for from my provider until now! This router is not what I originally wanted but turns out to be the one I needed! I’m glad I I didn’t get scared by the price tag. I stream everything and have over 25 devices connected in my house at one time. This allows me to effortlessly control and manage them all while allowing me the gig speed I want and have been paying for. Thank you!!!

I love this new router. It’s expensive for a reason. It is the fastest WiFi router on the market. It’s bigger and faster than any mesh system too. I researched everything before making this purchase. It supports up to 50 devices. My family of 5 needed this router upgrade. Gaming computers, iPhones, iPads, speaker systems, smart tv’s, are all operating at PEAK performance thanks to this new router.

Love this new router!! It was really easy to set up and is super fast compared to my old Asus 1gig router. The smart balance feature is my favorite part!! It automatically balances the demand between your devices to equally share the bandwidth so everyone in your household plays nicely together with no bandwidth hog complaints.

This really is a great router. Very flexible. As a parent, it is easy to control what devices have access and which dont. Wifi coverage from this router replaced a 3 unit mesh network. Easy setup through phone app or on the pc. I also like the multiple wifi networks to keep streaming separate from gaming.

Works as it should. Really put to the test for Sunday family dinner. 8 kids & 6 adults all running smoothly.
