    RAX200 speed problems

Bought the RAX200 to replace the prior generation of Netgear Orbi (non-ax). While the internal menus of the RAX200 show my internet speeds of 898/210, the maximum wired LAN speed was throttled down to 620/208. Under the Orbi this was 895/210. Spent two calls on with Netgear support. After finding this as a known reported issue on their support forums, I was able to convince the support rep that this needed to be addressed by L2 support. Given the price of this device - it is not ready for general use. It will go back to BestBuy in the morning.

After a prior router failure and able to upgrade to RAX200, well worth the change. Power, Connect, App Configuration, and Online... Wifi Signal much greater than expected additional plus.

I bought this router to replace my Netgear Nighthawk AC4000, but i dont think that was a good idea either. Bought it January 2022, it quit working near the end of April 2022. Had intermittent signal drops the previous week before it finally quit working, thought it was an issue with my service provider. 5 days and 2 service technician calls from my internet service provider, thats when we discovered the signal was not being received from the modem to the router. Signal hardlined from the Netgear modem 900+, nothing from the router. Contacted Netgear Support, opened a case, 90 day tech support expired, but 1 year harware warranty active. Back and forth with support case messages, they ask all troubleshooting questions (which I spent over 12 hours in 3 days doing, prior to contacting tech support) over a weeks worth of conversation and still no replacement. Not even worth contacting them, they just want to ask troubleshooting questons whoch i have already done, and have already told them. This router is too expensive for these types of problems!!!!!

    Works great WHEN it works.

Works great when it works. A router should be something that you rarely have to think about. But with this router I’ve had nothing but issues. It was between this and the Asus. Regrettably I went with this cause I had a great experience with the nighthawk x6 and x6s. Ever 2-3 weeks I have to go in and reboot this router. I’d love to return it or rma it but it’s been too long apparently. Save your money.

    RAX120 IS BETTER THAN RAX200

I have Gigabit internet and the RAX120 got 900+ on download tests. I upgraded to the RAX200 and now only get 500 Mbts on the download. This is more of a downgrade than an upgraded!

if you don't reboot this daily, you lose all speed. It is $500 worth of crap. Bought this because I am a computer programmer that has to work at home. Worst modem I have ever owned. And, after 3 months, nether will no longer support. Net gear, never again.

Did not work from the get-go.

I have Spectrum Internet which gives speeds above 100 gbps when the modem is connected directly to the internet. When I insert the router, the router works but I get less than 10 gbps with direct computer connection to the router. I have worked with Netgear for months without a solution. Now my warranty has expired and they expect me to pay for further help (?). It has become a large and expensive paperweight. Products should work out of the box without paying service charges.

    Terrible Quality

I have owned this router for quite some time. It constantly resets for no reason. Updated firmware new & working psu still constant issues. For a $500 router I expected better quality. Ill be giving my money to Ubiquiti soon. This isn't a reflection on Best Buy only Netgear. I have always had a good customer experience at Best Buy.

Have done multiple firmware updates, factory resets, reconfigurations, and the RAX200 fails to perform. Constant WiFi disconnects, poor performance and it can't even stay connected to other NETGREAR products (EX8000 range extender). Have concluded it is a $600 piece of junk.
