Nighthawk Modem

Went to the store and bought the Nighthawk and were up and running in very short order. Problem solved.

I wanted to love it, but..

I had issues with the 5G wireless on it off on and on from the start which only continued to get worse. To the point of the 5G telling me there was no internet connection almost anytime you wanted to connect to it. Add in other random lag issues, internet quality (even hardwired), I just had to get rid of it after about a year of having it. This is the second Netgear router in the past 5 years, and sad to say I am jumping ship

Horrible

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.bought this few days ago.Thinking it will be good if not the best, tried setting it up and it won't, did the hard reset and then setup worked, it comes with smart connect that you have to go into the app and turn it on otherwise you will have two separate wifi one will end up in 5G in the end. Well I turned it on because I don't want it to deal with two separate wifi connections. Next morning,kids logged in to school and wife tried and next thing I know this router stopped working and everyone kicked off the internet, rest you can imagine how my working went,luckily I had a old router and I was able to plug that in as a replacement. Same day in the evening returned it and I asked them for Ausus router but was told they can have it shipped but will take couple of days. I didn't have time to wait around otherwise Asus router and their app is one of the best.I end up getting a linksys AX6000 and so far its good and every thing is working as it supposed to and it was much easier to setup compare to netgear.

Good router and app is helpful

Also has an app that allows you to monitor the device and anything that is connecting to it! My only wish is that it was smaller or more physically appealing but maybe that's why it works well!

We had issues getting music to stream to our airport expresses. Could not get pandora to stream. Connections speeds and strengths were great, but for some reason could not get our audio/video devices to stream properly. Re-connected the Time Capsule and everything works great. We can stream with not issues. Would not recommend for those with additional Apple Products.

fastest, coolest, most up to date available router

Problem solved with the Nighthawk, with technology to cover into the future for a long time to come. Little pricey, but certainly performs!

Research carefully

Based on where it was placed in my home I didn’t get as much coverage as I wanted. But the app sucks!!! It was hard to log into the app to troubleshoot etc. I returned this item and bought a mesh because not only did I not get the coverage I wanted the app alone is a headache

Nighthawk AX5400 Excellent for us

We have a OLD house, lather and plaster walls, 2 stories. We now get a great signal in the whole house, rather than just the living room.

Headache!!

I'm on my second one in under a month. Tech support says it's the service provider and the service provider says it's the equipment. Tired the router that I originally got from the internet provider, and it works fine....Your guess is good as mine. When it works, it does a great job!
