I would gladly give this a 5 star if not for one thing. As far as function it is great especially if there is multiple devices that need use at same time. The issue that I have is that there are many lower cost routers on the market that allow user controls that are built into the software. Purchase them and they are able to be set up to have parental controls. This unit does have that ability, however you have to pay even more to use them above the price that was paid. I picked this up on sale for just under $300.00 got it set up and really liked the performance. After school resumed I went to set up time limits and had to start a 30 day free trial. Now when the 30 days are up I have the option to continue with this for another $50.00, that's a deal because normally it's another $70.00. So now it's over the $300 mark and it is possible that it's just a subscription and EVEN more can be charged. Not going to recommend this to anyone.

Huge upgrade from my Netgear AC1900. I would recommend everyone select the correct channel for both 2.4 and 5gz bandwidths. I did notice at first it was not the speeds promised. After messing around with the settings I am finally getting the wifi speeds I should if been getting always. I was able to achieve 784 which is so great.

Easy install and setup ran all 15 devices fast enough for me but it did stop working right at the year and a half mark so not too happy especially for the price

This router covers my 2700 sq for house, across three levels, with no problems. Runs several cameras, Google hubs, devices, and gaming systems with consistently fast speeds. Highly recommend!

Been great for 3 years, feels like its showing its age though....or it might just be how crappy spectrum internet is...but the phone tech always blames the router for my cable tv gling out....rofl wish i could say i was lieing

To start, I downloaded the app to my iPhone, launched it and followed the instructions to complete the router setup. It was super easy to set up and took aminimal amount of time. I had the new router up and running within half an hour of getting it out of the box. During the set-up, you're asked if you want to keep your existing Network SSID and Password...Select "YES" as this means all of your existing devices will automatically connect to the new router (once set-up), otherwise you'll have a New SSID and Password, which you’ll have to set-up on every device you wish to connect to the WiFi. This worked perfectly for me. Post setup, all of my existing devices connected perfectly. Note: The 5Ghz network has shorter range but faster connection, whereas the 2Ghz network has further range but slower speed connection. I managed to get all of my devices (TV's, mobile phones, iPads) to connect to the 5G Wi-Fi network without any issues or signal drops anywhere in the house. There are ethernet ports on the back of the router, which I also used to connect some devices (e.g TV, etc). What impressed me most was the speed - this has totally surpassed my expectations!!! Most of the devices are connecting to the WiFi at almost full speed (~300 megs download) most of the time. In the furthest corners of the house I can still gets signals upwards of 200 megs. I'm totally impressed and wish I'd bought this sooner. The Nighthawk Phone App is great. It allows you to see all of the devices connecting to the network either via WiFi or wired connection. You can 'pause' internet to individual devices if you like. You can also check the internet upload and download speed between your Router and ISP, which is handy. You can also turn on a "Guest WiFi" network if you wish to give house gets access to WiFi but not 'your' personal WiFi. There is also a traffic meter, if you wish to track how much data you're using . IN CONCLUSION: While this router isn't the most affordable on the market, it is one of Netgear's most advanced. It has the latest WiFi standard (WiFi 6 aka "AX") which the latest iPhones, Samsung Devices, iPads can make use off. It is also backward compatible with all previous WiFi standards. It is quick and easy to setup and doesn't require any technical knowledge. Most importantly, the WiFi speed is superb, however, I think you will find this router extremely helpful if you are looking for a whole home solution with ultra-fast WiFi speeds. I’ve had this router for 6 months now and I’m really impressed with it and the quality of it. The speed is amazing and I have 37 devices hooked up to it and they all still are going great. The app is really handy to access all of the options that this router offers. If you are on the fence about purchasing this router you will not be disappointed if you purchase this one.

Easy setup and I like the fact it has 5 ports on the back instead of the normal 4. After using it for a couple weeks now everything is running smoothly. The faster WiFi is very noticeable!

Solid range with great software that regularly notifies me of new connections and vulnerability scans. No issues so far, and was extremely easy to setup and get going.

I've been testing this router for Netgear. It is very powerful, having 6 antennas and all the WIFI 6 things like MU-MIMO on 2.4 GHz as well as 5 GHz, beamforming and QoS. It also has a USB port to make your hard drive accessible to multiple devices. Easy to set up and uses the nighthawk app for easy access. Good value router!

My husband had been complaining about our connection and how he could not get connected out in the garage or at the back of our property and wanted a new router. All he talked about was getting a nighthawk, well Happy Birthday to him!! He got his new nighthawk router and can now enjoy his access while in the garage and out at the back of our property. Happy wife, happy life!! He no longer complains and now I can chillax!! Thanks for an awesome product!!

Setting up the router was quick and easy, the interface is clean, organized, and transparent. On the 5ghz band on wifi I am getting my full gb of bandwidth and all of my wired devices are achieving this easily. The range of this device is easily large enough to cover my apartment and all of them in my unit, but this is not a fear due to the included monitoring on both the router and software.

nice and easy setup, nice companion app. lost a star because it has a built-in malicious website blocker but won't let you say access anyways or when you say add to the exception list, it doesn't do anything....it Blocked Disney.com because it wasn't a secure site...

My old router (7 years old and Netgear) needed an upgrade. I stuck with Netgear and again, it exceeded my expectations. The ease of installation with strong safeguards and easy to use app makes this purchase an easy recommendation.

Bought this router to replace an 8 year old Netgear router. The speeds and ability to remotely manage devices and connections remotely is so awesome. Crazy fast upload and download speeds. Neat product!

coming from an ISP rented router, this RAX50S pretty much blows the doors off it. so far there has been zero disconnection issues and reaches every corner of 2500 sq ft tri-level condo with ease.

I love the super easy setup using the Netgear Nighthawk application on I-Phone. It is easy and even takes care of the firmware upgrade. The router works great, streaming is smooth and always there. Thank you Netgear engineers.
