Work way better than the spectrum Wi-Fi almost no lag

Great product, just not for me! Great packaging!!!

As always, we go to Best Buy for most all electronics. We have always had a Netgear router. When our Nighthawk 6 went out it was back off to Best Buy for another, they have always been helpful to chose the one we needed. This time we tried the Nighthawk Gaming router, not disappointed, works great.

I bought this to upgrade an older Apple Airport. This router was easy to set up and works great. I’m getting 400-500 mbps download speeds and I have 12-18 devices connected including two virtual reality headsets.

I’ll start by saying I am not computer savvy. Set up was easy. Doesn’t have the constant disconnect issues it’s predecessor had. Had a XR500 before this & I’d frequently get up in the morning & have to reset it cause it disconnected overnight. This is only my second ever router so about all I can say is it works.

Comparing this “pro gaming router” yo the Netduma R2, the use of the Geo-filter is better as I can get into lobbies faster than with the Netduma. However the time it takes to reboot or apply settings is significantly slower than the R2. I also experienced significantly more issues with the R2 as I’ve yet to lose my 2.4ghz signal which was a reoccurring issue with the R2 until it completely stopped working.

Goes in and out sometimes but overall a good product

My main priority was 1 Gbps speed (tested and verified, btw) with little to no latency/hesitation on my wired desktops and TV's, while at the same time Streaming content on my Wifi TV's. Have been running this for a month. I have not yet had to reset or cycle power on this router one time. My flight simulator software seems to run smoothly even with 4K Wifi streaming running two TV's. I used the AX1800 mesh extender to enhance the connectivity on the other side of the house without any issues. So the way I figure it, I have direct high speed reliable Gbps speed to the desktops where I spend 90% of my time, and don't have to worry about Full Mesh WIFI solutions having intermittent issues. Copper may be old school, but it still works great. And using Wire for your work, and WIFI for your secondary activities seems to be a good solution for my activities.

Read about this model at consumer reports and it was one of the highest routers rated, but it would not connect to my modem easily, and kept dropping the connection. I had to return it and get a different router.

Hooked with router up ran even slower then my old one.

Absolute junk non of the features I bought this for work the web ui requires me to restart whatever device I’m attempting to access it on for it to load otherwise it’s permanent loading circle, geo filtering nor qos work it’s been updated to the latest firmware yet still gives pop up to update! The WiFi range is barely further than starlinks built in one just to top it off complete waste of money I would return but I got sick and then had a death in the family after buying so missed the return window, or you better believe it would’ve been returned!

Works great. Easy set up. Overall I’d refer it to others

Its fast and the gamer features are why I bought it. The 5g is spotty

Just picked this router up and I have to say it’s incredible! The power of WiFi 6 is amazing and the software DumaOS 3.0 makes sure I get the best servers and the lowest ping. Highly recommend

I purchased this specific router to increase the range and the efficiency of my internet throughout my home. I have fios and after I properly disconnected/unlink the fios router, the new setup was smooth sailing.

Easy to connect, even for somebody as tech challenged as me. Powerful, doesn’t seem to need the extension we used with the previous Nighthawk that suddenly died on us. Very pleased so far.
