I replaced a R7000P with this one as the 7000P was very unstable with 5G connections. So far this one is much more stable and it's pushing out the full 300mb bandwidth I have. I did have to reboot it a couple of times to reestablish some smart home connections but it seems stable now so I am liking it and recommend it

Router setup with the DUMAOS was different than I am used to. It's not the same as the traditional Netgear GUI. It is definitely geared to the gaming user. That's not what I bought it for. I was able to set it up in AP mode to help out my RAX200 in some weak spots in the back part of the house. Unfortunately it wasn't working to my expectations. I could barely get the downloads over wifi on the 802.11AX band and LAN above 50Mbps. Upload was about 41Mbps which is what I expected. I connected my laptop to the same network port and used the same cable this router was connected with and received 931Mbps transmitted 41Mbps. Something might have been going on with the QOS settings or the throughput to the WAN port blocked. I will be returning this one. It looks like it would be great for a gamer. The DUMAOS has a lot of tools that would be beneficial for someone using it in that manner. In my home network it's not a good fit. I will try the RAX70 next.

The transition for previous Nighthawk version to new model was so simple and easy to set up, plus you can keep the same router name and no need to updated pass in all devices. Device manager control, the best option so far.

As a gamer, I was really excited trying this router. A bit pricey but no problem. After a week, I kept having connection issues. Every morning, most of my devices would disconnect and then I would have to do a reboot of the router to reconnect. I tried using the app but it just added to my frustration. I tried logging in via computer and that was a headache. I’m no expert but the set up shouldn’t be that complicated. I gave up and returned it.

With only two people in my house and me being the only gamer, this router fits my needs thus far perfectly. Has a lot of customizable options in the routers menus which is nice in the future when I am managing several devices and smart devices on the network.

Being absolutely honest and unbiased…in my opinion no one should even consider buying this router. Constantly having to factory reset the router and get it set up again just to have to factory reset it again. Devices showing offline when your obviously online. Not being able to use the router interface on the browser due to an error, which causes you to have to factory reset to access it again. I’m just done with this whole ordeal. Love how it looks, love the interface and features but when it’s bad it’s bad.

    Worse performance than XR500

I already had an XR500 which i've been happy with, so I bought the XR1000 as soon as available. The connection keeps dropping, devices can't connect to wifi "no internet connection available error", and even when connected, the range and speeds are worse than XR500. Hopefully for XR1000 owners it's just a matter of upcoming firmware updates. For now, I would recommend the XR500 over the XR1000

    Not ready for Prime Time

My last four routers have been Netgear and I’ve had good luck with them over the years. So I was excited to try a new Wi-Fi six router. Unfortunately, The firmware features that make it unique and targeted at gamers are not ready for prime time. Several of the on boarded router applications would crash, or did not let you configure or modify. I also had to fight with getting into the web face And eventually had to do a factory reset. Also any changes you made on the router took a long time to apply, even for the simplest modifications. Sometimes I even had to reboot my cable modem to get it to reconnect to the Internet after minor changes. The worst part is that this expensive router didn’t give me any performance boost for wireless 5 devices or on my Wi-Fi 6 devices such as a PlayStation 5, And LAN wired connection was even slower than my current router. I currently have a Netgear Nighthawk R8000. Maybe down the road when they’re firmware gets fixed it might be worth the purchase price but for now, I returned it in two days and I have moved on.

I'm just going to be honest here, this devices should not be out in the market in it's current state. On paper the hardware should be fine but the software is a nightmare. Not only is the admin interface slow and sluggish, just changing settings/navigating in the interface causes the router to no longer work with both wireless and wired devices. For the price of this product that's unacceptable. Perhaps this will get fixed in future updates but right now this product is not worth the money or time.

As a player of warzone. Most of them said that getting a netduma router would help out for the sbmm. They mentioned, it would give out a bronze lobby "if" you find the right place. Sadly, it didnt. Been playing on platinum and searched all over the world. Out of 20 matches in solo, i get 1 bronze lobby. The price and result didnt quite match. I previoulsy have a netgear ax8 with 1gb speed from xfinity. The netduma router cut my speed into 400 and cant reach my usual speed of 800 to 950. Over all, the product aesthetically looks classy despite of having a plasticy feel. Works as it should be, providing a low latency during gameplay. It was a fun experience. But if your sole purpose is to save yourself fron sweaty lobbies at warzone just stay away and get good

Lasted a year and a week. As soon as warranty went out the 2.4 network no longer broadcasts. Master reset, new set up etc no go. 5ghz still works. Not a big deal normally, but our smart cameras and door bell can only run on the 2 network. Same stuff happens with our work netgear equipment. Doesn’t seem to last past a year. Expected a lot more for a $300 router. Netgear has fallen so far. When it worked, the signal and speed was amazing.
