Great router

Must buy for gamers.

Nighthawk is a Nightmare.

It's garbage. It constantly resets itself to factory, has issues communicating with our smart home devices, and has a pretty unstable operating system, as far as I can tell. The fancy features it's supposed to have have to be turned off because they're so buggy. This has been an expensive nightmare.

Overpriced headache

If you are a gamer, definitely get a different router. If you are looking for a reliable router, get a different router. The router was a pain to set up and I have the netgear application and I was setting it up with my netgear modem. The router was working alright for the most part for the most part until the armour trial ran out. After the trial ran out the router decided that it would drop internet from my devices randomly. It is not my internet provider or my modem or the devices connected to it. When the netgear application is not able to connect because the router refuses to connect to my phone that makes it even worse. If you connect an Xbox series S or Xbox one do not expect ipv6 because it will NEVER happen. This router will only do ipv4. It was advertised to me in the store to do ipv6 but it does not and netgear knows it does not and has no plans to fix it. I definitely would not recommend this product. If you want it to halfway work be willing to unplug it and powercycle it every day after you turn off any item.

Nighthawk is amazing, Netgear is appalling

DUMAOS was amazing. However, out of no where I began having technical difficulties. I made no changes to my setup, but devices stopped pairing, DUMAOS was glitchy to the point of being unusable, and my hard wired devices received terrible signal. I tried for days to fix it. I decided to reach out to customer service for help, but netgear only offers a copy/paste response and asks for $90 for 6 months of professional tech assistance. The router was amazing while it lasted, but netgear’s customer service is the worst I have ever seen. Broken flagship model gaming router with barely a year of use, and their solution is pay them more. Mindblowing.

Stopped Working Too Soon

Worst router I returned after a few days

Totally worthless. The router would not update firmware, after being on calls with tech support for hours, we got it to work. After it finally worked, it would lose connection multiple times. I returned it for Orbi Mesh WiFi 6, seems to work much better.

Had to log back in to the wifi to reconnect. Happened constantly. Exchanged for a different one thought maybe it was just bad luck. Second one did the same thing but not as much. I would not buy this again, which is a shame because I really wanted to keep it, but it didn't work.

Ive owned this less than 6 months and Ive had to reset and reconnect every device in my house 5 times now. It seems if there is any interruption of power it resets everything tio default. Sometimes it dosnt want to play with my NightHawk branded WIFI extender. I have my PC literally 5 feet from it and if its connected via ethernet cable the speeds default to 60 mbps but on wifi I get the normal 600 I used to always get with my old router.
