Awesome Router
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this router very well. I was having buffering on my TV's at different times throughout the house. I was hesitant about spending the money to buy this router but glad I did. No more buffering and my Wifi coverage is great throughout my house. It was very easy to set up. Great product!!!

Great router when it is on sale. WiFi extends.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced the Linksys AX6000 with this RX70 router due to several dead spots in the corner of my house. The new router has been running great for a few weeks without any rebooting and my wifi extends further to through the house. The only thing I don't like is paid subscription for parental control. It's free with Linksys.

Amazing Wi-Fi 6 router
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a Nighthawk XR500. I do miss having DumaOS however this router has handled everything I've thrown at it with no problems. Performance trumps the XR500 easily without having to setup QoS or any other type of service.

Good so far
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good so far. Fast, easy to set up. Replaced a previous nighthawk R8500 that went bad. This one is smaller than the R8500 which I like. I was debating between a straightforward router vs a mesh router. My home is 3400 square feet with 2 stories. This covers my entire home so I think mesh would be overkill. No issues so far

Aggressive up-sale blurring reality; Overall, No
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thought this NETGEAR router would be faster , fewer resets, and be much more secure and problem free. Fast? Most of the time. Until it seams to go through slowdown cycles, possibly caused buy direct wire connections with the router competing with the wireless connections. Resets help, but I really wanted a set it and forget it type of router. More secure? Hard to tell. The warning messages from the router are always sending warnings about malware blocked and level of security which can’t be obtained due to devices connected or recommended VPN which has to be turned off to connect to my works network, incompatible. Also from the second I started setting it up, NETGEAR started a very aggressive upsale campaign. making it seem that the equipment I just bought of theirs was inferior, less secure, slow, & problematic. Even the app that the setup instructions had me download to use as a router manager tool is full of advertisements of more advanced NETGEAR routers. And there are unnecessary router management functions which do not apply to me but are constantly getting in the way due to the never ending warning notifications. I’m speaking of the child security manager and the guest network manager. First there is an additional monthly or yearly fee for these functions, second I don’t have children and never will. Third, when I answered the setup questions about children in my home why didn’t it turn off all of these notifications, warnings, and guilt trips about not setting up rules for potential young users in my home, of which there are none. As for guest networks. Don’t care, does not apply. What really concerns me is the aggressive upsale that incorporates virus, hacker, ransomware threats and fears that seem to imply the devise I just purchased is lacking in security measures. They are competing against their own product. And the marketing campaign makes me feel that this equipment isn’t very reliable. Unfortunately, thanks to NETGEAR’s aggressive upsale campaigns and a problematic router that needs resetting regularly, I can’t tell either way. I also bought a very fast NETGEAR modem. Unfortunately it suffers from overheating. I have to run a fan on it all day long. So I’ll be changing to a different router / modem manufacturer in the future. But I’ll still go to Best Buy to help me make that change. Best Buy’s fantastic! NETGEAR, not sure. NETGEAR put the “not sure” in me about NETGEAR products not Best Buy!

Fabulous signal
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a three-story home with the router on the top floor. My other cable modem would leave me with 100-150 MB on floor one. This router, coupled with my cable modem/router gives me 400 MB on floor one.

Great upgrade, easiest setup ever
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed to replace my old dual band ASUS router. Best buy salesperson, showed me several candidates, but he AX8 clearly stood out among the rest. It is working great and has to be the easiest setup I have ever done. Had it up and running in minutes. I highly recommend this product if you want a fast and full featured unit

Great performance
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the throughput on this router. Relatively easy to set up with the app but did take a couple tries. Once I got the smart connect going everything has worked really well. Running fiber with 500 Mbps down and up and seeing mid-400 over wi-fi. Easily handles 2 4K TV streaming and multiple phones and computers.

Mack Daddy of Routers
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router replaced a mesh system in our 3,500 sq ft house and handles the space easily. I have purchased many different routers over the year and this is the mack daddy of all I have had. Yeah it cost a lot but you get what you pay for. The only downside to it is the software is a little clunky so can be a pain to setup or make changes.

Super, fast, awesome!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was having many issues with my smart home products. It was determined that my R8000 Nighthawk NetGear router could be the problem. It was over 5 years old and had been a super product for me. Well with heavy heart I decided to purchase a new router. I stayed with Net Gear and purchased the Nighthawk AX 6600. There was an immediate change throughout the house in wifi performance. I couldn’t be happier, what a great product! I do have to add that the tech (Jim) that installed the router through Geek Squad did a great job and was very helpful. Thanks NET GEAR!!

Netgear Nighthawk tri-band wifi 6 router
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Router is relatively easy to setup and adjust. It has a LOT of settings, so sometimes it's hard to remember where to go to review or adjust. Once it's setup, you should be good to go and hardly ever make adjustments. I've never had to reboot or power off the unit for over 6 months now.

Router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a 5 year old Nighthawk, We have about 30 items requiring internet and this router definitely does the heavy lifting with no problem at all. Set up was not plug and play (for us ) but after an hour or so we got it up and running. At the same time we bought a new modem and after getting both I have not gotten the dreaded low bandwidth message when using Wi-Fi hog Flight sim.

10/10
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had an older router before purchasing this unit. And I am absolutely blown away with the speed and quality of Internet I now have. I’m actually able to use everything I’m paying for. Fast and easy set up. No issue to date and I don’t suspect I will have any.
