Q: How many devices can be hooked up to his device without dropping wifi? I have 15 to 20 devices.
A: NETGEAR home routers can accommodate up to 32 clients per wireless band. This is a triband router so 96 connected devices. However, since the router's wireless channel is shared between all the wireless clients, adding clients will inevitably result in slower network access for all clients.
Q: How will this router do with gaming?
A: I got it last week it’s a big difference no lag or anything it’s worth it trust me !!
Q: Does this work with Xfinity WiFi?
A: Yes, I have Comcast/Xfinity and it works perfectly
A: Jason - yes this router improved my connectivity with Charter And I added ROKU to expand viewing options. My 10 year old router had problems with freezing, poor image quality and signal loss. It has also improved my video connection quality with Webex, Zoom and MS Teams.
A: Actually it's 3 bands. 1 band at 2.4G and 2 separate bands at 5G. I think you're getting confused with the number of "antennas" it has inside the fins to broadcast and receive the signals. Or BB screwed up the description. Anyhooo - it's 3 individual bands that you can set up and individually name and give individual passwords to. Hope that helps.
Q: is this router compatible with frontier internet provider
A: The router is Ethernet IP (WAN Interface). If Frontier is using DOCSIS you will need to plug their DOCSIS modem in the WAN interface
Q: Does this model have a USB 3.0 port for nas? I didn't see a photo of the back of the router.
A: Yes it does the usb ports are blue
Q: Is this model (RAX70-100NAS) wall mountable, and if so, how does wall mounting affect the coverage?
A: Yes, the model RAX70-100NAS is wall mountable. Even though I only had ours mounted for a couple of days before taking it down and putting it back on its shelf, we didn't notice any negative changes in speed or performance. (I just didn't like how it looked on the wall because of its size).
