My 2 year old Nighthawk decided it no longer wanted to work so I went to Best Buy to get a new router. Have been using Netgear for many many years, still have an old Netgear WNR3500L as a wired access point in our bedroom. Anyway.... I went shopping for a new router and saw this Nighthawk but was a little reluctant to purchase it. So I bought an ASUS RT-AX82U WiFi router. Spent Sunday afternoon setting it up and entering all the reserved MAC addresses nfor each of our devices only to discover our ROKU televisions, a ROKU Ultra and our printer didn't like ASUS. So I went back today, Monday, and picked up this Nighthawk. Spent time adding all the MAC addresses again into this one. I powered off the modem, transferred the ethernet cables from the ASUS to the Nighthawk, Powered on the modem, then the Nighthawk and BOOM! Everything is back online and working.

Very happy with this purchase. It was a breeze to setup using the Nighthawk app. The wireless connections have been stable and consistently above 550 Mbps on my gigabit internet speeds. The management of connected devices and security features of Armor Security are useful.

This thing is lightning fast! I tried 2 other routers from Netgear before this one. Both had problems. Stock issues made me get different models. Very easy to setup, speeds are great. The third band helps with airlinking my Oculus to my PC for gaming.

This router is awesome!! The range is twice my old router and WiFi speed is off the charts. It is running over Gbps wireless!! I am an IT professional and this is the best residential router I have ever worked with. Do yourself a favor and get one of these!

I purchased this router to replace an older X6 R8000 model. The old X6 was dropping devices and I was only getting between 100-120 on a speed test and I had Gig speed through Xfinity. Ran on the new router and was getting over 650. So it was well worth the price for the upgrade.

Adds ALOT of speed v my old nighthawk! Got some help on netgear website. Bought it on sale and the recycle trade in is a very nice incentive to bring in your old one v pitching it!

We upgraded our internet to a fiber optic selection. This router handles the load for the whole house perfectly! Not only is it able to handle 3 computers and multiple streaming devices all at the same time, the signal is strong over the entire house!

Had an older Netgear router. Replaced it with this one. Download and upload speeds are consistent with Modem speeds. Kids use one band for gaming and no lag. Cell phones on another band are fast. Works well in 5BR home

Just a really great router. It’s much better than the ASUS AX11000 rupture I replaced. Stinger signal for more range and it’s very stable. The ASUS had to be rebooted every 5 days and ASUS actually had to replace it 4 times.

I am not good at tech but before I bought this router, we had limited data and were not able to stream services. This Nighthawk is wonderful! We get all the channels we can find!

I absoloutely loved this router. It was super fast compared to all the other routers I have owned. It was quite expensive but definitely worth the money. I also loved all of the options available in the nighthawk app. I definitely recommend this product.

I was having problems with my previous router dropping speeds on the 5ghz band. Would have to constantly reboot. Bought this router and what a big difference! No more dropped speeds and I haven’t had to reboot the router since I’ve had it. Easy setup and great coverage my house.

Replaced a 5 year old Nighthawk, We have about 30 items requiring internet and this router definitely does the heavy lifting with no problem at all. Set up was not plug and play (for us ) but after an hour or so we got it up and running. At the same time we bought a new modem and after getting both I have not gotten the dreaded low bandwidth message when using Wi-Fi hog Flight sim.

It’s Netgear I can’t believe people think it wouldn’t work. It works better than anybody could ever believe it could and then he does better than that because it’s Netgear baby.

Purchased this router when our ISP blamed our old one on our buffering. Setting up is easy. The problem turns out to be the ISP supplied modem. Makes for a good upgrade regardless. Tried the Netgear Armor for the trial period and decided to subscribe.

love this thing. It's a little pricey but it has solved my problems for home automation due to the multiple bands. It is worlds better than the standard equipment that Spectrum offers

Great router for working from home and very easy to set up

This router is easy and I can link up to 95 devices in my house from nest thermostats 2 and Arlo cameras to 4 Wi-Fi tvs and 3 cellphones to 8 iPads and 5 laptops. I also use alll my z-wave home automation system without any issues.
