This router is a game changer, it is very power and can handle a lot of devices, including multiple 4K media streaming. Currently I have 14 devices connected but will have 5 more soon (security cameras and door bells). It's also Wi-Fi 6, so I'm ready for next generation Wi-Fi. It was a good buy.

With my internet speed as I’m standing right next to it or 20’ away I get 230mb of DL speed but when I am upstairs I’m only getting 20mb of DL speed so it’s good downstairs but not so much upstairs. Yea I still have internet connection and it doesn’t drop, but I was hoping for a closer number upstairs as compared to downstairs.

I had an ASUS and a older netgear router before, and they were horrible, Constant wifi Drops and the need to reboot them ever other day. I replaced them both with this one router and my connection has been strong and stable ever since. The futureproofing with Wifi 6 is great too!

Had to upgrade my router and once I saw the Nighthawk AX8, I knew it would solve my streaming needs. I get very little reception where I live, but this has helped in keeping the kids quiet on their electronic devices while I steam movies on mine. Overall, this has lived up to what it has promised.

Very easy to set up WIFI and love the options with 2.5 and 5 G. I like the additional ethernet inputs. We installed the new Bitdefender & pay for year protection. We are able to transmit wifi signal to detached garage. I like the option of the guest wifi!

Good, not great. I really like the Nighthawks interface on all their models, and I LOVE the Bitdefender Armor. But like several of its predecessors, I felt this worked ok in relatives homes, but can't handle heavy downloads, like updating double digit queue of video games, or lot of wireless devices workload (20-25). 5Ghz seems to struggle on both the AC and AX models lately, I often have to reboot weekly, and if I queued up "too many" PC/Xbox downloads it sometimes will crash them. Netgear seems to be great for me to monitor for grandparents, my mothers two addresses, and other friends/family that I take care of their WiFi and Antivirus (Bitdefender Armor on them all, and gives you unlimited PC installs). But if you are heavy on multi-streams or downloads/gaming you may want to look into something else.

I have been using this router for about six months and it is completely perfect the whole time. I run mostly all Apple products and it is perfect. I also have some PC products and never had one single problem ever. The range and reliability are tops! I highly recommend this product!! A++!

Not a bad device, definitely fast and effective... However, suffers from constant resets/reboots and not reliable. I’ve seen this with my last several Netgear stand alone routers. Switched to Orbi Wifi 6 and haven’t looked back.

Very powerful. Just switched to fiber from cable. I needed a new router. Found this puppy on sale. 100 bucks off. Very simple to set up. I had like 12 devices hooked up to see if there was a lag. Between this "racecar" and the "Talladega" style fiber it worked like a charm.

Bought this router to replace our 4 year old router that our devices and internet speeds had outgrown. This handles all of our device and the 5 lan ports are a great bonus in our house. Can't recommend this router enough.

Signal like to drop at random times throughout the day. However, using wifi 6, my devices are much faster. That is, the devices that utilize wifi 6. If you have devices that use wifi 6, grab this. If not, purchase something else and save a buck.

Cant complain about the reception and output from router but tried everything including disabling every optional feature turning off ax, smart connect etc, using only one band over 2 and no matter what i did constantly dropped connection, very noticeably at times almost every 15-20 mins would drop out and then be fine once it reconnected till it droppedout again... after desperate searchs turns out to be a known issure id assume hardware issue because it wasnt fixed in firmware updates... software interface is ok.. I returned to store for a Asus ax11000 and that router is hands down a better choice in every aspect when spending 300+ on a router.

Wouldn't be my preference, but I needed something at the moment and couldn't wait on anything as our router at the office had died. Software leaves a bit to be desired as far as functionality goes. Much better routers are available for this price range, but if using in a home/small office application, this does its job fine.

If you have a two story house and have dead zones around the house this is a great addition to improve internet. Keep in mind that the less objects around the router the better, so don’t hide this in the corner under a table.
