Great product and Fast Great lower Price Knowledge of Product

I so wanted to love this product but after owning this for almost 9 months, I would not recommend this product. If enable auto detect between 2.4 and 5.0 MHz, you will encounter drops, unable to connect, and other WiFi connection issues. When connected via wire, Internet speed shows around 150 MB even though I have GB service. WiFi when working shows almost the same speed. This is even during slow times. The speed was higher when new, now not so much. I have rebooted, new firmware, changed settings, default settings, read internet, and all other attempts have failed to have this router perform consistently. Sometimes you just don’t get what you pay for.

If you have over 50 WiFi devices or large home, the unit is very slow and unreliable

Originally just went with the Rax40 but the range and performance was not what I was looking for. Swapped to the Rax80 the very next day and could not be happier. Lan speeds as expected but wireless speed even at long range is great. I saw recently they have even dropped in price so the value is even greater. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing X8 router but I'm awaiting the X12 as it will have 8 antennas instead of 4

The WIFI signal is okay but one issue I have is that it does not have enough ethernet ports.

This is a great router there is no lag time in usage.

I used Netgear many years ago and broke easily, saw got many good reviews and decided to give it a try again which is the biggest mistake. The first device fail completely after 90 days, can not boot up, Best Buy is nice to replace it for me it’s over few days of the return policy; I got the replacement, which the WiFi speed is a joke and when I read some of the reviews I found out I’m not alone, I’m not talking about video or game, it took 30s to load up this review page on my phone, and I’m 10 feet away from the router!!! U can 10s of video payback time on Facebook then have to load for min or more... it’s just a joke!!! The LAN line is reliable without much issue, so if your house have no wireless device you can try this one... The app is nice and easy to use and setup, but due to the WiFi... please avoid it, I’m sticking with Asus

I really wanted to like this router. It has a great online interface, very professional and easy to use. Despite the advertisements, with G, N, AC, there is a decreased WiFi coverage over my previous router. I have over 25 wireless devices, some only operate on 2.4 ghz. This router just didn't meet my demand. Moreover, without AX I noticed an inability to stream 4k on one device and while load-leveling simple streaming/web-surfing on other devices on 2.4 ghz. I have fairly consistent broadband speed, however with wired LAN devices, I would notice speed fluctuation by as much as 25%. Another issue I cannot overlook is the fact that my Seagate FireCuda 2Tb hard drive was not compatible; after researching this, I learned there are many drives incompatible with this router. For homes such as mine, I like to have network storage for sharing media files.

This router doubled my WiFi speeds vs. my google WiFi, but get ready to have to restart it every day. WiFi connection drops multiple times a day on our phones and laptops. Ethernet connection seems stable. Returning this for a different brand.

I bought this to replace 2 AC 1900. It works great.
