Poor quality & Terrible RMA experience
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The WAN port stopped working after three months. Now i have to pay $20 to send it to NG for replacement and wait about 3 weeks. Still do not understand why I have to pay to replace a defective product. Additionally, I had to waste about an hour on the phone following vague directions from overseas technical support to get RMA number. Be aware that if you router brok, you would have pay for the whole process with your $$ and your time.

Lots of buffering
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The AX8 was returned because of too much buffering. My old AC router worked better. The RAX 120 worked better but also had some slow loading.

Died after 5 months
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked OK for 5 months, then the WAN port died. Much faster than my old Asus AC1900, but not anymore since it is dead.

Worst product and customer service
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First time purchasing a Netgear product and it will be my last time as well. My router started installing the armor security on its own, and now I can’t get any Wi-Fi signal on my Mac laptop. I called support and now they want to charge me for help, since it’s past my 3 months of purchase. I was previously a Lynksys owner, and their technical support was amazing, with no additional cost.

Dead on arrival
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this and spent several hours on the phone with tech support trying to get it to work. After several failed attempts to make it work I returned it and purchased the TP Link Archer 6000 and couldn’t be happier. Don’t let the few bad reviews stop you from purchasing the TP Link Archer 6000, it’s a great router.

||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We replaced a previous router with this one hoping for better results and it was most definitely not any stronger.

RETURNING AGAIN
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had high hopes for the router...... 2.4 works good but the 5 disappears .......Returned the first one and purchased a second ... same issues / same drama. Hours on the phone with Netgear customer service... do yourself a HUGE favor and wait on the WiFi 6. NOTHING BUT A WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY.

Undercover trash!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since the day I have his router installed I have had nothing but problems. Every time I am playing a game it freezes up for a couple seconds on every match that I play! And since the router Wi-Fi is constantly going out so I have to constantly reset it and then restore my settings on the computer settings. Do NOT buy this router-YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

Very disappointing product
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had such high hopes for this router. Bought based on the netgear reputation. Sadly it does not live up to the hype. After many hours online with Netgear support had to return it. Several other people had the exact same problem - not providing the speed thru put they advertised. Cannot recommend and no longer buy anything related to Netgear.

Stay Away!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router, but took it back 2 days later. New technology— “AX” standard not yet finalized. Wait to buy. Broke my network— many IoT things (Wemo switches, Logitech cameras) repeatedly lost connectivity.

$500 brick
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.“LAN cable disconnected”: promptly booted from whatever online game I’m in. “LAN cable reconnected”: wearily party back up with friends and get in another game. Rinse and repeat. Tech is aware of this problems. Numerous threads on Netgear forums and other forums have yet to find a solution.

Returning Product Today
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you plug any Sonos products into any of the Ethernet ports in the router it will not work. It shuts down the internet all together, wireless and all ethernet ports.

Buyer beware
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great at first. When you connect your device to it, I would get 1gbps, but WiFi performance was terrible (100mbps). Switched back to my eero 1st, and on WiFi I’m getting close to 700mbps and via Ethernet 1gbps. What a waste of money and can’t return anymore ...
