TOO MANY ISSUES, PROMISES NOT KEPT
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking forward to the advertised performance alas none of it was there. After a few hours with "technical support" and a promise to have the router changed, nothing happened. My speed (I have FiOS 1GB) is a dismal 8Mbps, movies from tv app are like watching 360 do. A total waste. Look for an alternative.

Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried to get this router to work. It just has a very low or no signal at all. It may be that it was beat up in shipping. The shipping box was to small for the router box and I know it was taking a beating as it was bulging out of the box which certainly was packed no concern of the damage it would receive.

Garbage Do Not Buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Blocks network services, even when your machine is setup in the DMZ! NETGEAR Support is useless, they just keep passing you back and forth between departments that can do nothing to assist you! Netgear used to be better, I'm switching to a competitor as I don't need bad products with poor support!

Piece of crap
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WiFi is terrible I’ve had nothing but problems with connection issues. I’ve had netgear products for years and have never been so frustrated with such a poorly built piece. I can’t even return it anymore. I’ve tried firmware updates resetting it and tried multiple settings. This thing is junk.

Died after 13 months, not happy.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seemed good or at least good enough for 13 months and then it just died out of the blue. Won't power on and makes a ticking noise. Of course Netgear has horrible service to back their products and they won't help. 1 year life out of a $300+ router is insane!

Bad purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this router 3 times, thought the first 2 were defective. But it’s not! Buy this at your own risk. It constantly bugging out no what what devices you are using. I would say wifi 6 is not ready for market today

Great design, well built, amazing speed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first impression is this new AX6000 is beautifully designed and very well built. Both wings are solid and there is no need to worry about flimsy antennas like on my old R8000. The setup process using Netgear iOS app was straightforward and the experience was great. It took me about 5 mins to complete the setup. I would like to also point out how much I love and appreciate the feature that you can *share wifi credential* to other devices from the app. If you have guests visiting, you don’t have to dig out your SSID password anymore, just ask them to join your network and you should see a prompt on your Netgear app asking you to share your credential to that requesting device. Simply tap “Share” and your guest’s device will automatically join. On the security side, you never expose your password too. After using it for a few days, I can see a huge difference on all my connected devices in terms of speed and stability. I have 6 security cameras that are constantly streaming 24/7. On my old R8000, I often see cameras taking a long time to connect, going offline, or the stream drops, and this is very frustrating especially when you get motion detection alert. With this new AX6000, the problems are gone! Beside great speed, I also notice it has a wider signal coverage which is covering what used to be a dead spot in my house (2200 sq). Regarding the fan noise issue, I don’t hear it and my firmware version is 1.0.1.36, so I believe the problem is resolved. Resolving my camera streaming issue alone is enough to justify the price of this product. It also comes with some sweet features like link aggregation which would give you more than 1G speed and improve reliability, perfect for online gaming with heavy graphics.

DO NOT BUY
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Netgear put this out prematurely. They do not have the hardware or the technical support to be able to fully support this device for it to be used. IT DOES NOT WORK WITHOUT A MODEM THAT THEY DO NOT SELL ANYMORE!!!!

Was hoping
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried to make this work but just can’t do it. 5GHz is intermittent, NAS works when it wants to, tried restarting it and after giving it 5 minutes still not completely working. Returned this and got Linksys, Linksys works like usual.

Looses connection
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a year it has connection issues. For the price I expected better. Netgear customer service is a horrible experience they will try to charge you for there own product trouble shooting. Get something else other than netgear.

Poor performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this after my Infinity Modem/router died. However after working with the Netgear team I was unable to get anywhere close to the performance my Stock Comcast hardware could. I bought the TP-LINK AX11000 and it works amazing.

Horrible to connect
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has given us so many problems that I cannot even name them all. We had to pay $$$$ Geek Squad. The guy that came did not have a clue how to set it up. We are still having problems. Best thing is to return it.

Awesome Router from Netgear!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been a Netgear customer for years because of its excellent quality. Appearance: I have to say this is the best looking router I have ever used. You can literally tell it costs a fortune by the look of it. Looks like some futuristic product. Setup was easy and dummyproofed. I took the router out from the box and hooked up the ethernet cable provided to my modem. Plugged in the power cable. I immediately connected my phone to its wifi network. Network name and password were clearly printed on the router bottom for easy access. I downloaded the Nighthawk app and followed its steps to register and set up the device. I did not change the name of the network or password. The whole process only took me less than 15 minutes. I even used the app to update the firmware on the router. Performance: I got about 70Mbits download and 10 Mbits upload speed using my existing wifi from the modem. (yes, it is also a Netgear product) I ran the same test around the same time. I got over 100Mbits download speed and 10Mbits upload speed. I think it can go much faster than 100Mbits download speed and 10Mbits upload speed because I know for much my Spectrum cable internet service can only go up to 100Mbits download speed. It feels great I can run the max speed on my phone now. I personally think this router was born for gamers and people who use a lot of wifi device at home. Its superb speed is just unbelieve$ble. I am actually very curious how fast it can go if it is not limited by the service provider. The price tag of $400 is not cheap. It would be good if the price could be slightly lower. Overall, I am very satisfied with the router.

Great Wi-Fi but terrible LAN (Wired) Desktop speed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All four wireless networks (2.4 & 5G) worked good, but the LAN connection from the Router to Desktop PC was terrible (download speed of 9 Mb vs 400Mb Modem speed)
