I bought this router because I started to get a lot of drop outs on my 4 1/2 year old router. The drop outs are very few now and I think they are caused by my service provider. The router is fast and I get a strong signal throughout my 2,900 square foot hours. I have 20+ devices connected and all work very well. Plus, it looks like a Star Wars spaceship.

The router came highly recommended by the sales rep at the Best Buy store. We were concerned about the setup, but it went better than we anticipated. There were some issues in connecting our smart home devices. It was difficult to get help from Netgear technical support. We were on hold for an extended period of time then transferred to 7 different departments before someone tried to help us. They had a heavy foreign accent and were difficult to understand.

Was getting like 120mbps on my phone with a nighthawk x6s from Costco.. Returned it for this beast and started getting 500+. Doesnt have disconnects or issues I got with the x6s. Connects a bunch of smart devices and cameras. Whether its worth the price tag.. Up to the buyer. I just needed a router.. If I already had one and it was working fine.. Probably wouldnt have gotten it.

I'm very happy with this router I really do recommend it the design is beautiful no exposed antennas looks very slick and modern compliments your electronics very well and handles multiple devices very effectively the app also let's you see what devices get the most signal and you can adjust and prioritize the signal to devices you want it's a must have .

The Netgear AX-8 has the Wi-Fi 6 technology, which is the current top of the line, until next year anyway. When you set it up you have a choice of super fast 5G or opting to cover a larger area at a somewhat slower speed. Netgear support was great in helping with the set-up. The current sale price is a great deal, although I never expected to pay $300 for a router.

I frequently get devices that are unable to access the internet on my old router. I tried everything I could think of to correct this issue, yet it persisted. I purchased this router as an upgrade to that, with the hopes that my issues would go away. Unfortunately for me, they still persist. In my master bedroom I will eventually stop being able to access the Internet. I have strong wifi signal, but no data goes through. I can't ping the router itself. If I flip off/on the Wifi and the problem is resolved temporarily.
The router itself is great. Very strong signal everywhere in my house and outside in the backyard. One thing did bite me, though. The device shipped with multimedia turned off. This caused my Apple devices to get extremely poor performance, dropped packets, and was frustrating. Once I turned the option on I can now get 200-300mbps on my 1GBps Internet connection. Remember to turn this on! The setting is hidden under Advanced > Setup > QOS Setup (the setting is not QOS related), on a tab called WMM. Enable both of the options there!
I do really like the upgrade to the administration website they offer in this version. It is clean, simple to navigate, and easy to find the options I need (save for the WMM setting I couldn't find earlier).

I was running 15-20 devices on a Netgear 7000 and this one gets better speeds now with out any other changes. Smoother, faster, more power, more expensive but I have no regrets. Runs cool also. Comes with a Cat 5e cable I got a Cat 8 to run from the cable modem to it. I have a computer and phones using Wifi 6 and older stuff using wifi 5 and less.

A little difficult to set up but once the phone app was up and running it was completed. I like the guest networks with a separate password. Speed is very good for streaming. I do like the unique design and the fact I can hang it on the wall. A little expensive but found it on sale. Time will tell if the quality it there. Typically my experience has been good with Netgear equipment.

I game and use this router with my SX10 Netgear switch. This is a great setup and this router is not only WiFi 6 capable but I also have LAG (link aggregation) setup to minimize any packet loss and minimize my ping. You can really tell the difference while online gaming on COD or Rocket League. Excellent choice to future proof your home network!

This router has improved my internet speed and the WI-FI connects almost instantly all over my house (3200 sq feet) including the basement, Easy setup and good support. I also replaced a Cable company Modem with Neat Gear 16X4 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem. I would recommend Purchasing together. The router is pricey, but well worth it. The modem is cheap compared to savings on cable company modem rental

It covers 2000sqft home without issue and outside in the yard too.
The AT&T has a Wifi router too, so I did the compare on distance and speed. It is expensive, but it does work farther and faster when compare it. Somehow felt the connection is more solid and no drop connection on Wifi, where AT&T diddnt drop Wifi connection either.

I mostly purchased this router for an upgrade to WiFi 6, as well as to accompany a major upgrade in speed from my ISP. Overall it gets the job done well. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of higher-tier or more gaming focused routers, but that wasn't a deal breaker. I do find myself having to give it a full reboot every few weeks compared to my previous router that could go for months at a time.

The device is very good. It's not as easy as configuring a Linksys router but wanted to get the WiFi 6 cert. Antennas seems to be very strong but ended up using a Linksys Extender since I had one.
Originally got very bad speed but after some configuration changes, it looks like it is very quick. The extra protection this thing has seems to slow some of the websites but it's the price you pay to avoid ransomware and other viruses out in the web.

This is one of the best Wi-Fi 6 router I have used. I have this setup in my office with a small team and it's range/speed is always pretty consistently good. I just wish it has more 2.5 or 5GigE ports but I guess that will come in future generation when the interface becomes more popular.

This works well with the AT&T Pace gigabit ethernet modem. The wifi in the Pace is below average. This more than doubled my speeds on faster devices. Also provides pretty good coverage over my house (2 stories with basement). Top speeds are realized running this as a WAP in the DMZ zone of the modem. Great product, but the setup takes a minute!

I replaced my FIOS router with the Nighthawk AX8. I was away and my sixteen-year-old son set it up with no issues. Works great, better range, and stability. Don't notice a speed difference I thought I would see, but it is fast. I like the aggregated port option, going to try this with my home server but need a new NIC card first.

I just built a new 3350 sqft house and the router is positioned at the northeast corner of the basement. It gives me 4 bars at the southwest corner of the main floor. I won't need WiFi boosters after all. If you are looking for a strong router then this will serve you well.
