This cable modem is great and I would suggest buying it.

Don't have DOCSIS 3.1 fully implemented in my area yet but was able to get it connected with minimal fuss and working great.

Good product but a little pricey. If you can get it on sale it is a great choice.

It worked great while it lasted. When power was restored after the storm, it wouldn't boot up right. I tried factory reset but it didn't work. I'm sure, no fault of Netgear, but I returned it and decided to rent from my ISP. If it happens again, they have to replace it.

Great modem for the price. One of the cheapest gigabyte modems, still quite expensive.

It works for me. Easy Install. It says in the box that it's approved by Xfinity and other providers.

It runs well, but run kind of hot compared to a Motorola. I liked the diagnostic screens in a Motorola better too. I bought this brand and model only because Motorola's model wasn't compatible with my current ISP and this one was. You can't change the user name in this modem either which is a security risk. That should be a basic security item and should be fixable with an update from Netgear.

Purchased this modem instead of renting one from Cox after switching to Gigabit. Much faster than there's.

The signal is a bit weak in some areas of our home but overall, I’m satisfied.

The modem I replaced was still functioning when I upgraded to the Netgear Nighthawk modem. Unfortunately, the Nighthawk failed in less than 10 months. The Netgear support for the warranty was a difficult process, but after HOURS of online chat followed by a required phone call - I was able to eventually get a replacement device. Given my experience, I won't be purchasing any Netgear products in the future. If you do choose a Netgear product at Best Buy - I highly recommend you get the additional product warranty they offer. My next modem purchase will go back to the ARRIS brand which lasted over five years and was only retired due to the need for increased speed. I don't feel like I can rely on the Netgear brand and the process for support/warranty service is so difficult I suspect most people just purchase a new modem. I went to a local Xfinity store and was able to get a rental modem until the replacement arrives from Netgear. I have no idea when the warranty replacement will arrive so having the Xfinity backup is a must.
