    I like this modem but the speed is not the best. I still get lots of buffering.

    Bought in Sept, 2020. Died in May, 2021. I tried all the troubleshooting available via Google with no luck. Called NetGear tech support twice. They told me, and I quote: "we can probably fix this, but it will cost you $49 for 3-months of phone support." Wow! Thanks. I also tried to claim the hardware warranty, which is 1 year from date of purchase. They wouldn't allow it...unless...wait for it...I pay $49 and go through the phone support first. What kind of company can't help you for at least a year? What a joke. I went and bought an Arris. 2-year warranty with free phone support.

    not good for mediacom

    This was known to cause issues with mediacom according to the service personnel at mediacom i returned the product and had 0 issues with bestbuy, no questions asked as it was within the return policy.

    Xfinity-Comcast throttles device.

    Xfinity throttles this device and I am now having to rent a modem. MAD because cannot return item. Comcast is difficult to work with. Couldn't get over 200mb speed with a direct connect. Comcast modem was 980mb. Not sure if i want to spend another 8 hours on the phone with Comcast to get it to work. They deny throttling of course. I'm sure the device is good but not with Comcast/Xfinity

    Compatibility with Comcast?

    Works well as a modem, but the speed did not improve speed with Comcast. Comcast tech had me replace it with a Comcast modem.
