    So I bought this modem because I just upgraded to Comcast gigabit internet. It would work for a short time (sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes an hour) and then it would just stop. All the lights go off on it. I thought it was a faulty modem so I exchanged it. The next one I got did the exact same thing. I had a Comcast technician come to my house and he told me the modem is no good. I can only conclude that everyone of these on the shelf was bad. This time I exchanged it for an Arris SB8200. That one works like a charm with absolutely no issues. I would steer clear of this one.

    Opted for an Arris modem. Will consider once DOCSIS 3.1 is adopted by ISPs

    modem only connects at 20-40 download speeds , Not happy at all as a best buy customer.

    Instead of renting a modem from Comcast I decided to buy one. Everything I read said this is compatible with Comcast. I was having trouble getting Comcast to recognize the modem and called their technical support. When I gave them the model number, CM1000-100NAS, they said it is not compatible. I don't know if this is just in my area or not.

    I "upgraded" from a DOCSIS 3.0 to this...only to have it repeatedly drop offline. I've got 1 gbps internet with between 6 and 20 ping...so there's absolutely no reason for this modem to disconnect/drop between 4-8 times a day. I troubleshot ever part of my system, from cable through mesh, then reconnected the old modem and have had no disconnections for four days. Not impressed with Netgear, and going back to Arris.

    BOUGHT TO REPLACE $15 ROUTER RENTAL FEE FROM ISP. FINALLY THEY GAVE UP & RE-INSTALLED COMCAST ROUTER. I HAVE TO WAIT A WEEK TO GET A "QUALIFIED" WI-FI SPECIALIST TO MAKE IT WORK AND SET UP OUR EERO MESH SYSTEM. NOT RECOMMENDED

    Garbage, it lasted 2 months and had to replace it, then upgraded to next level modem, it last 3 months. When it worked it was great.

    I just followed instructions as is very easy installation. Speed Test Results : 325.12Mb/s up, 33.01Mb/s down). This is 22nd Generation Product !! Which suppose to come on 01/01/2100 Top Most Quality MODEM for COX! I used CM500,CM600,ARRIS,SB-6190 , NETGEAR CM-600. Awesome performance. Consistent speed, No drop. I am getting 10-15% more than what i subscribed always !!!! What Else We need, Though out the house, Backyard, front yard, side yard, all bed rooms,dining,living area all speeds are exceeds my expectations.Frankly this is what any customer needs. If you compare quality virus price, This is very low priced, Exceptional quality man. I think may be this is FIRST time i am writing review like this, very excited. I would like everyone to feel like me.

    One of the worse modem this is. They just have the false information. Never reached the capcity, maximum was only 180 mbps. I talked with netgear represemtative so many times and they never sorted out my problem.just wasted my time.

    Modem went out after 5 months and NETGEAR’s horrible customer service refused to replace it. I already had to do a factory reset on it multiple times before. But because the lights were still on they said it works fine when it has only had problems since I’ve had it. Even my ISP tried to fix it and couldn’t. And they still couldn’t get it to connect to the internet. Eventually I just used a different modem and now everything works fine.

    Took a while to setup had to use Comcast to connect. Took about 45 min to connect. Its been solid after setup Comcast was very helpful working with me. Netgear needs to improve their online setup procedure, otherwise its all good.

    I returned this because it didn’t work with my cable connection. Probably a very practical, reasonably priced router. Return was very easy.
