    Out of the box simple plug and play. Dramatic increase in network speed and no big downs despite 5 devices streaming at the same time.

    I checked out compatibility with my internet provider prior to purchasing and even though I was given the green light it never worked properly, I returned it with no issues.

    Works Fine But Smells Bad

    We bought this modem to replace the one provided by Comcast. The Comcast modem produced an odor of burning plastic and was intolerable. Unfortunately this modem is doing the same thing, a bit less but still intolerable. The smell from both modems were confirmed by several other people. I don't understand why these things smell bad.

    Setup was easy. Literally swapped connections. No noticeable speed difference from this to spectrum modem. If anything, latency increased by a couple milliseconds. The problem was the connection was unstable. Every 10-15 minutes I would lose any download speed. It would correct itself after a minute. I tried resetting etc. I didn’t care enough to go into the settings and see where the issue was. I just wanted it to work without issue in the first place. I returned it and went back to spectrum modem. Everything works fine again.

    Only lasted 6 months and I called to get a replacement and they didn’t want to help. They said I was out of free tech support

    NO CUTOMER SUPPORT, RMA CASES ARE IGNORED

    Make your research before buying a product. Netgear don't respong to RMA, Customer support you need to pay after 90 days. so no support. This modem drop the upload connection constantly, Its just faulty. No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out. I had no issues before with Motorola modems. or Arris.

    Sooooo I went over on my monthly internet and I couldn’t figure out why. I never came close to my limit until I bought this. Apparently from reading other articles, this little guy “leaks” data. Sounds weird... No joking... It happen... I returned it and bought something else. Haven’t had a problem since! Don’t buy this if you’re on a home data plan!

    Not the greatest. Should have just gotten a modem/router combo. It didn't want to talk to the other netgear router 30% of the time.

    Router would randomly drop internet connection and would also get bad connection signal from Skype. Brought this back and got an arris and all the issues went away.

    Well I’m really bummed about this modem. When it works it is great. However I have to unplug it and lug it back in a couple of times a day to get it working again. Which is a real drag if not at home no connection

    I bought this modem to replace one that has the infamous Intel Puma 6 chipset. Unfortunately, this one drops service as often as the other one did. Total waste of money....

    We bought two of these - neither of them worked. We have a Netgear modem we have had forever, and it works beautifully - still - but we won't be buying another one, because fail me once, shame on you. Fail me twice, shame on me.

    This never worked as well as my old motorola 400 mbps modem router. Im cant return it but i personally would not recommend. M8ne keeps cutting out and not auto restoring so i have to keep unplugging to rest it. i am looking for a new one so basically wasted money. From the reviews many have loved it

    So much for future compatibility

    Bought less than a year ago and now comcast/xfinity tells me in order to get the high speed I am paying for I need to updrade this modem as I am not able to achieve those speeds with this unit!
