    A piece of junk. It ran for 5 months and then totally died. A total waste of $169.00. I replaced it with a ARRIS cable modem. Don't waste your time or money on this cable modem. Trying to get Netgear to replace it is impossible. Low quality, bad quality control

    Worked for 2 days, needed to be reset at least 3 times in that period then failed altogether.

    Got slower speeds then my rental modem. Returned it. Not sure if i got a bad modem.

    Horrible Quality

    I bought the modem but had to bring it back to the store it seems like something was loose inside the casing and wouldn't bond with my cable internet service "Xfinity"so the quality of the workmanship of the modem was lacking.

    Hardware failure within 6 months. Best Buy wont help since its past the 30/45 day. Called Netgear. 3 hours on phone with them telling me I have 1 year of warranty but no tech support. I assured them no worries I just need the hardware replacement. 3 transfers 45 min each on with someone who is hopefully going to start the RMA process.

    Returned to store. Worse by far than the Spectrum freebie I had. I thought it might make my horrible NetGear router stay connected but it made it worse,,, returned both to Best Buy... I LOVE BEST BUY,,, they stand behind what they sale... NetGear use to be reputable but today they are simply junk dealers...

    Kind of expensive to only last 18 months. We thought it was our internet provider every time we had to reset it. It was the modem failing. It started right when our warranty expired. Convenient. No fault of Best Buy. Just a bad product.

      All NETGEAR products come with a 1 year hardware replacement warranty, and if your CM1000 is defective or has failed NETGEAR Support will be happy to help you with this, and issue an RMA replacement if necessary.     AVOID Netgear like the Plague

    This thing lasted two months and then I had to fight with Netgear to get a replacement even though it was under warranty. After a few hours they finally relented but forced me to pay for shipping. Do not waste your money on this and get an ARRIS Surfboard instead.

    Not reliable. Stopped working less than 6 Mos after purchase, called for help but had to buy a service contract but couldn't resolve problem so 2 Mos into service contract I tried to get a refund and got nowhere so I am now renting a modem through my cable company.

    This modem works great for about a month and it started giving me issues. I would need to reset it weekly and sometimes daily just to keep it working. I took it back and got the arris modem and haven’t had an issue yet! Don’t buy this modem

    The item was fine I guess. Hard to tell since I was treated like a pariah by the staff. Will never return to that store or best buy for that matter. Not if I'm gonna be treated the way I was
