I bought the modem so I could upgrade to 500gb internet. After installing the modem my 200gb internet runs smoother and there is no buffering when streaming on two TVs. Maybe now I don’t need the upgrade. Still evaluating.

Bought this modem after I bought my Netgear nighthawk router a week ago. Whatever you do follow the directs for setup. After setup call your ISP (internet service provider) they can setup and configure your modem for you. The reason I have a two for ease of use is due to the length of time to get this running. Called the ISP got it setup, waited 30+ minutes to get my internet working and was not working. Had to call Netgear for them to tell me to call my ISP to get them to reboot and lock down the upstream network setting. It was just time consuming but it works. I live in a part of North Carolina where we only get Suddenlink. So yes this router will work with your provider. Need the activation number it is 888-570-4702 to activate your modem through suddenlink.

Replaced a 10 year old DOCIS 3.0 modem. Noticed significant increase in download speeds immediately.

Very good buy modem. My older netgear fried after our many storms in Michigan this month. Also my download speed increased with the new router.

For the past 12 months I have been using an Arris SB8200 (have always used Arris modems), it has been a total disaster - kept having to be reset. I have had Comcast visit 5 times in the past 2 months. Each day got millions of correctable errors and thousands of un-correctable errors. Comcast told me their line is well in spec. This week I installed the NETGEAR CM 1000 (also DOCSIS 3.1). So far the log shows ZERO correctable and ZERO un-correctable errors. Also Netgear publish their latest firmware version - this is the version I have on my CM 1000. I am very pleased with my experience using the Netgear CM 1000 compared to the Arris SB8200 - both DOCSIS 3.1.

Bought this to add to our nighthawk router to replace the Xifi Xfinity router to return and not rent it anymore. Runs internet really well.

So far this modem works great on my cox ultimate package, they don't support 3.1 yet but it works just as good as the cm 700 I replaced. It's basically the same thing until 3.1 comes out so there's not much of a point in buying the 1000 unless you really want it like I did.

What are you waiting for, buy it. Extremely fast and works on Comcast XFinity. Stop paying the cable company a rental fee. This is a future proof solution and cannot tell you how much of a speed bump I got (100MBps to 300MBps).

super fast internet , good construction , just make sure your internet provider can support the model and speeds.

Great modem no problems with runs awesome with my eero router

The product itself is good. But don't get it if you're with Spectrum. You won't be able to get the updates to the firmware and essentially they will blame everything on your device because you purchased it instead of getting the free modem. Again product is good but not on Spectrum Internet.

Called TWC to activate it this morning. The activation went through just as smoothly as it did with previous modems. I moved to this to get away from the SB6190 that I had. The SB6190 has the Puma 6 chipset, which is known to have issues.

I updated to the Comcast Gigabit plan so I chose this modem. Download speeds into the computer wired through my router come in around 950 Mbps with the Xfinity test, a bit lower with the others , my upload speed is 41. Originally my download speeds were capping out around 300 into the computer but the speeds I was getting from my NVidia shield was 750. After some research, I found that I had to stop all but the Microsoft services to diagnose if some other software was causing the speed issue. Once I did that I got consistent speed above 800. I never bothered to figure out what service was causing the issue, I restarted the important ones and everything works great. Modem runs cool .
