Netgear has been a very reliable modem. My Arris modem was good for a while, but started dropping connections after some time. I try replacing it once, and it lasted about 2 months before having the same issues. I was informed by a Xfinity service tech that they've seen that problem a lot with Arris modems and referred me to try Netgear as it's been the most reliable one they've seen.

This was fairly easy to set up and works well! Better than my last system.

Bought this modem as I was upgrading from 300/30 internet speeds from Spectrum cable. I originally had great success with a Netgear M600 modem and wanted to go with something I knew worked. Though there were no issue with the modem itself the Spectrum installer will not allow you to use your own modems for gig internet. You have to use the company provided modems. Still would recommend this modem if you are not using cable gig internet.

Replaced IP Router/Modem - was getting horrible wi-if speeds and coverage... Now my coverage, stability, and speed is great in a 4,000 sq ft house. Key during this distance working/distance learning time period. I have 4 of us online plus about 30 other devices between security cameras, phones and other smart home devices. Pairs well with the eero pro for WiFi. Nice to ditch the monthly IP modem fees too.

Got tired of paying monthly rental fee through WAVE. If you decide to do this, according to WAVE’s website you have 2 recommended modem choices for high speed internet (1GHZ)(Netgear or Arris). Despite what the website says, you won’t be able to hook it up yourself because WAVE will require a technician to come out to make adjustments, etc. Also, I was told after the fact that I should have purchased the Arris instead because of the issues they had with servicing the Netgear. So far, it has worked well as designed.

Best combo router-modum ever owned. Good price and easy to install. A year later, works like new. Would/will buy again.

I am consistently getting 165-175 mbps with Comcast cable. Upload about 5-6 mbps. Easy to setup, very fast.

I bought this instead of renting one from xfinity, This was easy to set up and get connected and works very well.

I upgraded from a Arris SB6183 DOCSIS 3.0 to this Netgear CM1000v2 DOCSIS 3.1 so I would have the latest equipment. I did not notice any difference in my speed and wasn't expecting to gain any speed, but if I do upgrade my internet plan I'll know this modem can handle the increased speed. Installation was quick and easy so no complaints there. I'm also using a Netgear AC 1750 R6400v2 router.

Replaced my ISP’s modem with this Netgear. Set up was a breeze. You’ll need to register it with your IPS for it to work properly. It’s been working well so far. My internet performance has gotten better compared to the IPS’s modem. I am saving $15 in rental charges of my Internet bill. It’ll pay fir itself. This is modem only so you’ll need a wireless router.

Straight modem only and is approved by all the major carriers (non Wi-Fi) but if coupled with the right wi-fi system your golden . super simple system to use
