A must have for those of us who have xFinity by Comcast and are using Blast Internet Speeds. Configured this thing with my Apple AirPort Extreme Base Stations and the speed is phenomenal. The price tag is a little high, but you wouldn't buy a Ferrari and use 87 Octane gas because it's too expensive. This is the Ferrari of Modems!

We were using a 4 yr old modem and although I was paying for the highest level of internet service, the gaming quality was not what it should have been. So I bought this one as an upgrade even though it was not very expensive and hoped it would be enough to take it to a higher level of performance. I am not disappointed. You won't be either.

Netgear CM1000 modem has been great! Stats state it can handle 6G speeds. I have it tethered to a Blackhawk router with 5G wireless signal. Zero issues with handling UHD streaming videos and gaming while connected to multiple devices. This modem will be Overkill for years to come. Good luck getting an internet service provider to offer a faster signal than it can handle.

our previous modem which was wayyy outdated was connected to a nighthawk router and we could barely get 1-2 mbps. not sure if its the router or modem or if they didnt work well together. but now with this netgear modem... our speeds are in the 40-60 range which is great. now i dont know much about technology but either way it worked and im happy.

Although my current provider does not have the infrastructure in place for 3.1, this modem covers the future upgrade to occur by EOY 2018. After a few weeks of performance I'm getting maximum speeds I'm paying for, it would appear this modem is performing as it should. My primary reason for purchase was to future proof myself, paying more now for a modem that will perform well when upgrade occurs next year.

Worked quite well. Didnt have to use cable company modems that kept messing up or breaking down.

When I first upgraded to the new gigabit here in Miami (from Xfinity), it was using their different Cable Modem/Router device and I was only getting 400 Mbps download speed. It was also lagging in our house when multiple people were on the network. Now, I can get get download speeds throughput (~941 Mbps) and the lowest pings I've EVER seen! Connection is rock solid throughout the entire house.

I was tired of dealing with Spectrum tech support. I finally made the decision to purchase my own modem. I currently pay for speeds 100 Mbps download, and 25 Mbps Upload. My previous Spectrum modem would not support those speeds. With the new DOCSIS 3.1, higher speeds are supported. Pair this modem with the Nighthawk Wireless Gaming Router, and you will not be disappointed.

However.. the moment you introduce your own devices into the mix, Xfinity (and everyone else) suddenly cannot guarantee download speeds and can only perform limited troubleshooting. Somewhat acceptable speeds reached my primary wifi router (I have 4 google wifi pods in the house) as intended but something at either Xfinity's end or this router was preventing my wifi routers from pushing the throughput to devices. VZ FIOS does not seem to have that problem. I am pushing high speeds down and up (300 mbps on FIOS and 1000 down and 35up on Xfinity )
