Great modem! Easy install and no problem getting it to talk to the router. I had a separate hotspot so was able to connect to web and that helped

Great upgrade to my “several years old” Cox router that I probably paid for 500% through monthly fees. This one works great. Easy plug and play. Just be sure your provider registers it on their network.

A new Arris Surfboard that I bought from Best Buy three months prior just died suddenly. I had a Best Buy Geek Squad contract on it, but since it was still under factory warranty I had to sent it back to Arris for replacement. I bought this NetGear as a temporary solution. Guess what, in the three weeks it took to get a replacment from Arris, this Netgear has been flawless. It stays connected more steadily to my Xfinity service and I haven't had a single signal dropout. The NetGear is staying put, I like it. It's bigger than the Arris Surfboard, but as long as it works as well as it does, it will stay my primary Modem, and I've been a Surfboard user for going on a decade now. What makes it great is it connected automatically to the Xfinity service, where I had to make a phone call to Xfinity on the last two Surfboard models to even get them to connect.

This modem is reasonably priced and works well. It will pay for itself in less than a year since I no longer rent a modem from my internet provider!

Bought this to replace my Comcast rental. I did a speed test based on my Comcast internet plan. With there modem I was getting 575 mbs at best wired directly to my PC. With this modem, I get 745 mbs. (My plan is Xtreme 600 with is rated to get 600mbs)

It a router, It works with no issues. I have not noticed an increase in speeds but thats up to your ISP not all on the router itself.

So far so good on this purchase. Decided to opt in for just a modem since we wanted to go with mesh wifi. It is compatible with Xfinity and seems to deliver better speed than our old modem.

Obviously theres better products by NETGEAR. Unless you are working at the ISS then you should be doing just fine with this modem

Works perfectly with my Cox cable 1Gbps internet service. Let's me use my own router and avoid the rental fees and fuss of ISP provided equipment.

I’m not a techy so can’t say too much about this as my knowledge of computers, modems and routers isn’t great. I WILL say with my new modem I’m getting the speeds I was supposed to and even though Kyle H from geek squad hooked it up, it seemed to be a pretty easy process. Overall very happy with this new purchase

Ahead of the curve as far as Modems. Make sure your internet provider provides the correct speed to get maximum ability of this Nighthawk. Docsis 3.1 and well above the curve of most cable services at this time; so should be good for a while.
