If you are stepping up to a high bandwidth data plan with xfinity, then you may need a newer modem that can support DOCSIS 3.1. This modem is certified to work with xfinity and it delivers the speed. It was also able to connect and register itself with xfinity so no phone call needed.

Easy setup and straightforward like so many of NETGEAR's products. I originally had an issue with my NETGEAR Nighthawk Router not getting a signal and then dropping a signal at first, but once it was up and running there were no issues.

A little bit pricey but the performance is worth it. Set up was very easy once you got past the drama of the Xfinity App. I am using it as a second network for the basement apartment and I am very pleased. Highly recommend Netgear Nighthawk 3.1

Purchased to upgrade to gig speed internet. Much more stable connections and average speeds at 900mbits+. No lag with zoom calls, stock charts, and two xboxes running at same time.

The nighthawk 3.1 works so much better than the 3.0 i had. Faster down loadsand better streaming. No more wating for the page to loan

This modem supports DOCSIS 3.1 technology which is required for Gigabit internet plans. Easy to setup for Xfinity internet. Just connect you your PC and log in to your online account in your web browser, super easy! If that's what you want, get this modem!

I have had a bad connection in the past with the junk equipment the cable company “loans” you and then I came to my senses and bought this as well as a separate ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 as my router. I’m not even a gamer but these are future proof at the moment and blazing fast. Super expensive for sure, but so far AMAZING connectivity. I even have some WiFi cameras that had such an intermittent connection before. The Ecobee Plus thermostat didn’t even stay connected. Now they both work flawlessly and FAST! Think of performance and reliability as opposed to price. If it’s too much then I suggest still getting this and a non-gaming router. But keep in mind this IS NOT a modem/router combo. You have to buy a router separately. I’m telling you it works though!

I have used this modem for both XFINITY in Denver and Cox in NW Florida and it worked perfectly on both services. No technician required for setup, just called in the MAC address. This is a modem only, a separate router is needed to create a WiFi network.

Sure beats renting equipment every month. Easy to set up (plug and play), just requires a quick call or text to the cable company. Super fast!

I have had this device for 2 years and have never had any issues. Much like other Netgear devices it is very reliable. Definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a modem that supports up to 1gb internet.

I bought this modem to use with the 400mb speed with Xfinity. Its easy to set up and I have had no issues with connectivity. I highly recommend it.

93.35mbps downloads... Faster than old modem. I had to give the MAC address to the service provider Mediacom and it worked seamlessly... Took less than 20 minutes to set up.

The Netgear CM 1000v2 is an excellent modem. It's DOCSIS 3.1 which means it can handle COX Gigablast speeds. Haven't had any issues with dropouts or slow speeds like my previous modem. I highly recommended it.

It does require connecting PC directly to modem for activation. Comcast increased our DL speed, and in checking that out I noticed the SB6141 was no longer supported. While pricey ($200-), I'm hopeful this will be compatible for 5 years or more. And yes, it's faster.
