Originally bought the ARRIS - SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem but the chipset has an issue disabling high speeds like 200megabit service and would cause random drops. This modem outperforms anything I’ve ever had even hooked to an old Apple router I still see very close to 200mb over WiFi too. A buddy uses this for his 250mb service w whole house WiFi and it’s also flawless. Highly suggest this above all other purchases- buy this and a separate WiFi option like whole home or the netf was WiFi router for smaller sq ft (1k sq ft)

When it comes to safely and quickly speeding down the internet highways, I always reach for my trusty Netgear 32x8 Docsis 3.1 Cable Modem. Much like a fanny pack or a towel, the Netgear modem is like many things that make traveling so much simpler. Now, I can venture to the peaks of the Andes, battle wizards on the moon, and even spend my Friday night thumbing through Instagram to see what fancy club Kylie will end up at next. Netgear cable modem - never leave home without it.

This is a really nice unit. It is fast and reliable. I use it in place of the slow piece of crap that Comcast provides.

This unit has performed flawlessly. I was sick and tired of my cable internet providers cheap cable modems and having to reset them several times a week. Ever since I installed this unit, I have had ZERO internet outage issues. I combined this with a good router and I have had a year of perfect service. No dropping internet whatsoever. And saves me a modem rental monthly fee. If your thinking about purchasing this, stop thinking and JUST BUY IT! You will not regret it!

Have used netgear products for over a decade and never had an issue. Very reliable and easy to set up.

Just moved and needed to pick up a cable modem to go in front of my Nighthawk router. Once comcast added it's MAC address to their route tables, the thing has been up and running flawlessly! Has some great bandwidth, trying out Xfinity's gigabit network and I'm really impressed at both the speeds we're getting as well as how well all of my own hardware (Netgear products) is working with Xfinity's network.

so much more speed, now paying Comcast for a higher speed makes sense! easy to install, great manual.

Have had this modem for almost 2 months. Easy set up, still works without incident. Definitely works better the a router modem combo.

Works perfect with Wave Broadband. The installation was quick and easy for the service provider.

Bought this modem so I didn't have to lease ISP hardware at an exorbitant rate. Works well and though the marketing only states it works for Xfinity and Spectrum, I've had no issues using this with Wave Broadband as my ISP. I have this hooked up to an Asus WiFi 6 router and my internet works great. This modem is definitely a good pickup for gigabit internet service coupled with WiFi that can handle high speeds.

Let me just start off by saying 1GPS SPEEDS!!! If that doesn't grab your attention then nothing will. Netgear lost me as a customer many years ago due to issues I kept having with there equipment and the constant phone calls I made to there tech support but since then they have rebounded very nicely and have made me a believer again putting much better quality products on store shelves. I have had no issues with this modem thus so far and am actually considering buying there router now to make a matching pair.
