Excellent modem. Works great with Xfinity. Just need to make sure you call them to have it linked up with their net. Fast and great speeds.

Pros: * Worked immediately with Charter/Spectrum after calling and registering the device. * Gets advertised speeds with the right ISP. Cons: * Stand build quality. Cheap and flimsy plastic. It's not a deal-breaker, but you want more at $150.

Look at your internet bill...you see that recurring fee for their modem/router combo? $15 bucks?!? Yeah, kill that, shell out some money for one of these DOCSIS 3.1 modems and profit! You'll enjoy better wireless performance by deploying dedicated devices (modem + wireless mesh e.g. Google Nest). I've noticed faster speeds both wired and wireless when compared to my Xfinity provided equipment and I save money over time. DOCSIS 3.1 will permit you to enjoy all the speed your carrier can provide. Setup is easy (especially through Xfinity) but I dock one star for the way Netgear prices these out. If you want more LAN ports it's going to cost you. If you have bundled voice services through your provider then be prepared to drop $250 or so. You still come out ahead over time but it feels a bit "gougy" to charge significantly more for extra Ethernet ports.a

Still working great on COX Communications network. You will probably have to call COX for assistance activating on their network, as I did.

We were sick of paying a modem rental fee. This was so easy to hook up and gives us plenty of power to have partially cut the cable cord. We are very pleased with this item!

This modem performs better than anything Comcast will give you, and will save money in the long run. Only caveat is the firmware currently compatible with Comcast sometimes loses service after a power outage. Power cycling seems to fix it.
