I like this modem a lot. It’s compatible with Cox. I get good speeds. I bricked my previous version of this modem because I tried to power cycle it during a Cox outage. You’re not supposed to power cycle during an outage. Lesson learned.

This modem replaced one rented from Astound. It is faster and appears more reliable as it stays connected better than the rental. It was so easy and quick to set up.

If your provider supports it, get it! My service was constantly suffering from extreme drops in speed, 430 average to 20-30Mbps. After testing my router, I determined the issue to be the modem. I have had no issues with service any more and have even noticed an increase, 475 Mbps average now. Can't say this will be true for all but am pleased with its performance.

So far this device is the best I've owned. It works great with my Luma routers and is definitely an easy setup. Since setup, I haven't experienced ant problems and is able to handle the multiple WIFI devices in the house without any bottle necking or slowness in internet connection. It was well worth the price. I highly recommend for anyone who needs a modem that can handle multiple internet connected devices.

I only have 200mbps DOCSIS 3.0 service at my house, but got this modem to make sure I was ready to upgrade to 1gbps+ once the price comes down. The backward compatibility seems to be great and now I will be ready for faster speeds in the future. This modem is easy to mount sideways if you remove the screws off the base it easily detaches. I put some little rubber feet on it so air flows better and it has been running fine on it's side.

Very easy to set up and very dependable signal. Increased my internet speed considerably. I ended up returning this only because Comcast gave me a free Modem/Router when I upgraded my Internet plan.

I have no issues. The price was just right and worth it.

Have been using this for 3-4 months now, and have had zero issues. Great connection, and the signal from my router has been consistent as well. Set up was easy, just follow the prompts.

The speed and performance is very high and constant.

Just bought this for my gf and myself a motorola mb 8600 gig modem. Set up comcast Xfinity gig bit pro service on both and the netgear cm 1000 is still going strong and active while my motorola is having issues. I think its a comcast issue moreso but needless to say the netgear worked at my place initially before i bought the motorola and is still working well at her place while my motorola is not. I think its worth the money u save especially if u catch it on sale for $150 or so. The only downside is it does not have telephone capabilities.. u may wanna wait for the telephone capability modems that are docsis 3.1...

I recently needed to replace an older modem/router combo unit with a more modern solution, and after doing my research, decided that this Netgear router would fit the need and match nicely with my high-end Netgear Nighthawk AC4000 wireless access point. I have not been disappointed. This modem was easy to install and has performed well for me so far.

The modem is easy to install, easy to setup, not to expensive

Been dealing with knuckleheads at Cox cable. They said I needed to upgrade by Motorola surfboard to docsis3.1 to get the full benefit of my download speed. I upgraded with this device and the price point was great including a 15% discount for trading in old modem

Busy little box! I have bulk internet at my complex and was pensive to believe ugrading my modem would make much difference. When the tech hooked their set up directly to the coax the return was 789mbps. Connected to the modem: 650mbps (Forgivable. I liken it to coralling the data, breaking its spirit, etc.).

Recently ditched cable TV and upgraded my internet. Decided to buy my modem instead of renting. Saving over $125 a month. Fast modem. Can handle speeds of 1GBPS. Easy to set up. I bought it for use with WOWWAY cable internet and works great This is my third Netgear modem and they haven't let me down. I run an orbi mesh router system off the modem and haven't lost any speed. Best value around.

Lightning storm took out my Arris Syrfboard cable modem, I needed to get my internet back on line asap. Best Buy sales person recommended the Netgear CM 1000. so far it has worked as expected very pleased with the purchase.

Great Modem....great speed works well with the router and it replaced us renting from Xfinity. Just as fast if not better than the modem/router combo provided by xfinity.

My husband and I insist on using only Netgear. We purchased this due to needing a modem that can support 300 Mbps. We’re both in the technology industry and know what brands are the best. Netgear is very consistent and is very compatible with just about any device or service platform. We also have several gamers in our home and we never hear any complaints. We’re super happy with our Netgear purchase.

This modem is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to performance. It has dramatically improved my internet and gaming experience. I've seen a remarkable boost in my download and upload speeds.
