Super fast modem

Before I purchased this modem I was working with the terrible equipment provided by Cox. My WiFi was intermittent and that really disrupted the entire household. Now that I use the Netgear modem my life in the streaming world has improved drastically. Not only is the equipment great but the associate at Best Buy was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Not worth upgrade from CM500

Pur. CM1000 tested speed anywhere from 472 to 486 with eth, connected PC and iPhone. Returned CM1000 modem Spectrum then offered for free their Spectrum E31N2V1 DOCSIS 3.1 eMTA modem-eliminated splitter plus two modems(Voice and Internet.) Current speed with this new modem is 472 to 478 Mbps.

You need this if you have high bandwidth devices

My old modem was Docis 3.0 and was on the Comcast equipment list but about to be dated. After some trouble shooting I decided it was time to upgrade. I choose this from independent reviews for quality. It's also on the approved list for Comcast. Its paired with a lynksis 9500 router. It's expensive but since it's good up to 1 gig well worth it.
