Save money by your own cable modem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was leasing/renting a cable modem from a internet provider and not getting very good usage out of my modem because I started to upgrade my home to be a smart home. To many devices started to slow the my network. I upgraded my modem and my router. In my opinion this modem works the best for what my family needs. We have a 3100 square foot home and everything works great now.

Not sure what happened on the Cox side, but for whatever reason the tech support person needed another 15 minutes and a conversation with their supervisor to get it added, but eventually the interwebs started flowing through. So far I haven't had any issues but I imagine it's like anything else. 5-10 years is about all they're good for.
