I purchased this modem on April 22, 2021 and it failed before it was 9 months old on January 20, 2022 and supposedly it had a one year warranty. I contacted Netgear support on January 22, 2022 and was told the hardware was fine and that I would have to pay $49.99 for testing the software, which I did not purchase. Cox my service provided confirmed the modem failed on January 24, 2022. I will never purchase another Netgear product as I had to purchase a new modem and I am out $180.19 that I paid for the Netgear modem.

I had no idea about what channels I needed and I was limiting myself by getting the cheapest router. The Rep was super helpful and explained everything for me and this router will future proof me for the time being.

Bought this to rule out equipment failure when troubleshooting a cable issue. Returned the product when the cable company fixed the outside line (because old router still in good order )

I had the spectrum modem and i was getting alot Of t5 and it would just mess with my router. So I decided to buy my own modem and its been a great investment so far.

I needed a new modem and this one had really good review for 4k video streaming and gaming so i went with this and a netgear router and ive had alot less issues with internet and home network.

For seven years ive paid xfinity to rent this same piece of equipment. There have been issues using their equipment. So i finally decided to buy my own. Now im saving money monthly as we as have a solid wifi flow throughout ny house.

This is a must have for your home internet needs. This is great for use with multiple devices and Netgear is so great with the care they provide their customers!

Great modem but I'm questioning their longevity. This is my second one in a year. I chalked the first one up to a faulty unit because I love this modem so much. Hope my second lasts awhile.

The CM1000 is an awesome cable modem. I combined this modem with a Netgear AC1900DST. My computer has 1 GB+ ethernet ports. The combination is blazing fast.

Only works with asymmetrical internet service. Most plans in 2025 are symmetrical it won't work even if your isp says it does.

This modem is pricey but allows me to use the highest tier internet my provider has to offer. I like gaming and just having reliable internet. This modem enables that.

This Netgear modem has solved all of our internet problems. You can buy this with the confidence that spending a little more is well worth it in this case.

switched from AT&T cause their internet was too slow. This works great with Xfinity. Also got the NETGEAR Mesh system to pair with this.

It was challenging at first after checking with infinity on getting the correct modem and getting 2 different answers but we worked it out..Best Buy made it easy to deal with the challenge.

Purchased this to replace an aging cable modem, I had some trouble setting up with Comcast but they were able to help. Issues was not with the modem but a firmware they needed to push.
