Could not use

I purchased it so that when the Geek squad came out to hook up my new computer from Best Buy it could also be setup at the same time. However I was told that I did not need the modem or the router. So I'm going to have to return it.

not good for mediacom

It didn't even last a year...

I tried all the troubleshooting available via Google with no luck. Called NetGear tech support twice. They told me, and I quote: "we can probably fix this, but it will cost you $49 for 3-months of phone support." Wow! Thanks. I also tried to claim the hardware warranty, which is 1 year from date of purchase. They wouldn't allow it...unless...wait for it...I pay $49 and go through the phone support first. What kind of company can't help you for at least a year? What a joke. I went and bought an Arris. 2-year warranty with free phone support.
