Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the product's impressive speed, strong performance, and overall ease of use, including its simple setup and seamless connection. They also appreciate its compatibility, DOCSIS 3.1 support, and affordable price, noting that it operates without lag and stays cool. However, customers are negative about the limited number of ethernet ports and, for some, the signal strength.

When it worked it was good. Had to reset it 4 or 5 times a day. I liked that it had an on off button. Returned to store and got an Aris modem that was recommended by sales rep and it works great but does not have on off button, you have to unplug it to reset if needed (have not had to so far). I probably just got a bad one.

We've given up on DSL, and now switching to cable, this buy from Best Buy will save us money and has already saved time. We expect it to provide years of service. The people at the RC store knew what would work best.

I asked for help and salesman picked this up and said this was all I would needed. I told him it for wireless. I thought it was router and modem combination. Got all the way home to find out it was only a modem.

I got it on sale, but for the price I wish I didn't have to manually reset it as much (every few weeks). It could be my ISP's problem, but my previous modem didn't have to be reset as much as this one.

Not much more to say than that. I would steer clear of this particular boat anchor. The last Motorola modem I had lasted will over 10 years. This is simply unacceptable.

So I bought this modem because I just upgraded to Comcast gigabit internet. It would work for a short time (sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes an hour) and then it would just stop. All the lights go off on it. I thought it was a faulty modem so I exchanged it. The next one I got did the exact same thing. I had a Comcast technician come to my house and he told me the modem is no good. I can only conclude that everyone of these on the shelf was bad. This time I exchanged it for an Arris SB8200. That one works like a charm with absolutely no issues. I would steer clear of this one.

Opted for an Arris modem. Will consider once DOCSIS 3.1 is adopted by ISPs

Instead of renting a modem from Comcast I decided to buy one. Everything I read said this is compatible with Comcast. I was having trouble getting Comcast to recognize the modem and called their technical support. When I gave them the model number, CM1000-100NAS, they said it is not compatible. I don't know if this is just in my area or not.

I "upgraded" from a DOCSIS 3.0 to this...only to have it repeatedly drop offline. I've got 1 gbps internet with between 6 and 20 ping...so there's absolutely no reason for this modem to disconnect/drop between 4-8 times a day. I troubleshot ever part of my system, from cable through mesh, then reconnected the old modem and have had no disconnections for four days. Not impressed with Netgear, and going back to Arris.
