Customers are saying

Customers regard the Nighthawk EAX80 AX6000 WiFi extender as having excellent range and ease of use, with many praising its simple setup and ability to extend WiFi 6 networks. However, some users experienced connection issues and inconsistent performance, leading to negative feedback. The accompanying app also received criticism for its functionality. While many found the extender improved their WiFi coverage, concerns were raised about the value for the price.

This unit had major connectivity issues and the would lose signal constantly. The wifi 6 features are why I originally purchased this extender but I ended up returning because of the drop connections. Updated the firmware to see if this would correct the issued but it was still losing signal and dropping the connection and I was getting better signal directly from my AX120 Router after the AX8 was removed form my network.

I love Netgear routers very fast and reliable. So I bought this extender thinking it would produce as advertised. It drops the 5g channel everyday and it gets frustrating having to keep resetting it. And I also bought a new Netgear 6 wifi router to go with it as it stated it works better with those routers. Yeah not so much. It needs a lot of work for the price it is. Not happy at all.

I had high hopes for the Nighthawk, boy was I let down. I upgraded from an older Orbi system that was consistently giving me 900 download. Upgraded my xFinity to 1.2 gig and needed to upgrade router/wifi. No matter what I do I can't get more than 400. You have got to be kidding me, and the App is horrible, constantly crashes or can't find the router, speed test crashes app. Overall disgusted with the Nighthawk platform. Will be returning to BB. Just ordered the AX6000 Orbi system and hope things fair better. As for the Extender I spent all this time renaming my devices with the wifi/router, when I connected my extender it deleted all the names I had and replaced with blanks, so now I had to look at IP addresses and figure out what was what AGAIN. Can't say enough bad things to be honest.

Connected to my ps5 and pc through ethernet on this and it work wonders. My coax connection in my room is slower than my living room connection. So i have to leave the cable modem in the living for the fastest speeds. having this extender is amazing. Getting a solid 700-800 mbps
