Forget Apple anything especially their useless wifi systems, nothing but pretty design and compromise every step of the way. Leave it the WIFI devices to the Experts NETGEAR. The new NETGEAR Orbi AX6000 tri-band mesh wifi 6 system is the best Wifi system on the market it is true plug and play and performs above expectation.

Easy installation, outstanding whole home coverage and consistent strong WiFi coverage! For example, my printer was located in the office above the garage and barely had a WIFI signal. However with the Orbi 6 mesh system it is now receiving speeds consistently around 90 to 95 MBS through out my 5,500 SQFT home! Highly recommended!

I love it!! Was using an older Orbi thay worked fine till my mom dropped the router one roo many times.. this one is faster ane better. True 4k quality when watching tv. Less lag time when streaming novies or poaying games. I use it throughout 2 apts on 2 floors in a e family home

Helped improve the Wifi in my home. Set up was fairly easy. Most all of my devices connected with no problem.

Great concept - except that Netgear brought this version of the Orbi Mesh to market too soon. The Parental Controls, Security and other features that you see when you visit the Apple App Store to download the app??? They DO NOT EXIST - and there is no clear time line for when they will appear. Netgear support said 2 to 3 weeks possible on one call, and on another that there was a no projected date. But it goes down hill from there. I have a web server and run my own email server - no real issue setting up port forwarding, but reliability is another thing. With only about 4 products on the Orbi network things seemed fine, but when I migrated the house they got bad. Devices on ethernet started to have issues reliably connecting to mail, and the Router started to blink Purple from time to time (that means it is having a problem). Resetting it worked - but only for a little while and then problems again. My iPhone 11 which had been the original test device started to have issues just opening USATODAY, and if I was in one story and hit backup, the whole app would freeze or reset to the top of the main page. The web based login (Orbilogin.com) hates Safari - if there is any significant change it wants to reset the access password, annoying to say the least. You can resolve this by blowing away the history every time you make an update, but that is a bit extreme as well as annoying. Firefox was a better option for configuration. But the real issue seemed to be that with some 60+ devices connected it had issues - on the nice side, you only have to specify one SSID, and it will auto detect and share for old devices and new ones. This is pretty important if you have a lot of WEMO switches and Hue devices, not to mention Nest - smoke detectors and thermostats. I thought I would simply wait out the firmware update and App update, but less than a day into the full migration my email on my primary system (iMac Pro 2019 maxed version) started to fail. Exact same settings on my MacBook Pro 2018 were fine. But access to websites was hit and miss, as well as the Purple Light. For a few hours the system also had a mysterious Satellite - under the legitimate one that came in the box was another - XEROX CORPORATION ... MAC address 00:00:00:00:00:00... Wired... Orbi Router... GOOD I don't have anything from XEROX and never have. I rest the Router and the Satellite a few times - but it continued to show up. Then it changed status to disconnected and let me delete it. Odd to say the least. So great idea and fun speed with just the iPhone 11, but disaster for a home/office network. Netgear support recommended the Nighthawk - but also admitted that it was slower.

I got this to replace a network with 2 airports. I can say that the Orbi's performance is far better. No issues with dead zones, full internet speeds to every wifi device and no connection issues. One thing I would suggest is to remove all other wifi nets from your house and only have the Orbi. This is something that is generally true for all Wifi routers to avoid interference issues. If you do have other wifi networks that you connect to, you may have an issue with the Orbi where it tries to switch you to a stronger band within its network if it sees your signal dropping. This can lead to the Orbi's network dropping and some other Wifi router you have setup taking up your connection. I resolved that by removing all the other networks so that there was only the Orbi. This made things much simpler from a configuration and performance standpoint. Overall, I am very happy with it.

This product has been proven to be outstanding. My 1 Gbps installer stated that he had never seen WiFi that could support the throughput of 1 Gbps service (technically - 940 Mbps) but after we installed this, I showed him the 900 Mbps throughput. Enough said. Priced for the performance received. Money well spent.

Orbi is ahead of the pack when it comes to mesh routers. Easily the best mesh router on the market!

Very expensive but provides excellent coverage for the whole house.

WiFi throughout my entire house and man cave is what I asked the salesman for and that’s what I have.

I purchased the Orbi WiFi 6 to get better coverage in my upstairs Airbnb and to cover the backyard. I had just bought (and returned) another fairly expensive “Pro”-Mesh system and ended up with less coverage than my original solitary router gave me. The Orbi 6 did the job. A plus is that it gives me a separate guest network.

I am very happy with the wifi strength we are getting with the new Netgear Orbi. Worth the extra money

Set up was even easier than my previously owned AC Orbi. All devices connected quickly and signal has been strong, reliable, wide/far and fast ever since. This AX system with 1 satellite is better overall than Orbi AC with 2 Satellites. Only downside is high cost but worth it if you have a lot of devices to connect.
