This mesh system works great in our small office. We had connection issues with our standard wifi router, but this Tri-band 6 system works great!

Orbi Wifi 6 VS Orbi Pro 6 (recommend)

This unit works, it took me and tech support about 18 hours (includes the time between contact and on hold) because it would not configure using the app or browser. The pro: it does talk on Wifi6 (as noted by my phone). The con: it is a pain to config, it is much slower than expected and Netgear wants you to subscribe to a service. I am comparing to Orbi Pro (business) I would not recommend this. The Pro version is much faster to config, does not need the app and is much faster. Can config an Orbi Pro in about 5 min.

This is the best router at this time. It's more expensive than some of the competitors but its worth it with the speeds it gives you. Highly recommended.

Worst product ever. Power goes out and nothing reconnects. Netgear is useless. I will never EVER buy a Netgear product again.

    Mixed ...

Mixed feelings with this mesh system. I actually like the performance of the system, but there is a major drawback at the moment. Anyone that has a Nest thermostat should be aware that the system does not work well with the Nest thermostats. The batteries on the Nest will drain out. I have kept the mesh system, but needed to keep my old router active just for the Nest.

We have fiber internet at 1GBPS and this made it possible to be hard wired anywhere in the house. Had it in 2 houses in last 3 months, no problems whatsoever.

I'd like to say that this mesh system is amazing, but it's just pretty good. It's supposed to provide enough coverage for my 2500 sq ft home, but there are still dead spots which means I'll probably have to purchase another satellite to extend the coverage. We have eliminated cable and stream everything plus gaming so we need strong, reliable coverage. This is the new WiFi6 so I expected to be "Wowed", but it's just ok. Not enough bang for the buck for my application.

It works well. Use the web app to setup the Orbi though. I wish I could control what devices were 5GHz and which were on 2.4GHz.

I’ve had the Orbi system for about 6 months now. I went all-in to get a solid WiFi solution for our house, thinking the expensive, “top of the line” Netgear system would be worth the investment. It is NOT worth it. The issue is that the system goes down frequently. I can still get a strong, connected signal from my Xfinity provider, but the Orbi is just not working. I’ve been through hours-long troubleshooting with Netgear TWICE to get it working again. Both times this involved completely reinstalling and reconfiguring the system. But it still continues to randomly just quit working on a regular (weekly) basis. If you’re thinking you’ll just shell out the massive cost to fix your WiFi once and for all by buying the best there is, the Orbi is not the right move.
