Love my new Orbi mesh network! Super easy setup and amazingly fast coverage in all areas of a 5100sqft home.

After contemplating between Linksys MX 10 and Orbi wifi 6 — I initially went with the Linksys since it was on sale for Black Friday. After a couple of weeks I started having issues with second Node connectivity. I returned it and went with Orbi — I have not looked back since. I knew I wanted to go with wifi 6 to future proof my home. Great investment I highly recommend Orbi wifi 6, it’s a little pricey but well worth it.

The biggest issue I'm still having with the router at this point is the speeds. When I test at Speedtest.net I show the wireless download speeds around 100 mbs; I feel that it should be faster for a WiFi 6 device (iphone 11 pro max) and 1 gb fiber connection (centurylink). I did have issues hooking up the router as so many others did as well; however mines a little different; first let me state i'm not trying to use a modem and I'm trying to set this up using the PPoE. Now, I have trouble shot this two hours yesterday and two hours this morning with Netgear technical service which didn’t get me far, except a call back within 24 hours with advance support. If I connect my older router and use it as a modem the orbi works. However, before this setup I had a similar setup with a linksys velop mesh (model WHW0303) and only using the PPoE user name and password it worked for me with no modem. Now on a different note the second thing that I didn't like to much about this router is that it does not allow you to name the different channels. I usually have different name for the 2.4 channel for older devices to connect to. If anyone got the PPPoe to work give me a heads up please.

This works so much better than my old WiFi router. It is faster and much more stable.
