Having the same Issues as David. Router constantly disconnects. I regret my purchase. I am on day 10 of interruptions and all NetGear says is that they are "working on it". I wasn't informed by NetGear support that this is a known issue. Upset that I have spent numerous hours troubleshooting the router thinking this was an isolated issue. For a $700 router, this is unacceptable. NetGear has also refused to refund my purchase even though the router is under warranty. Stay Away. Good product, just wish it wasn’t so expensive....also, this product just amplifies the distance of the WiFi, you need to buy a separate cable modem in addition to this product.

      Hi PSmitty,

Thank you for your feedback. The price of the Orbi is due to a multiple device system. If you need assistance with your Orbi, please email us at NetgearTeam@netgear.com for additional resources or to contact one of our support experts. We will be happy to help.

      Thank you.

Set up was not very straight forward. Had to jump through a bunch of hoops to get it set up. Connection/speed is pretty good and the satellite works really good for the second floor

    Dropped iPhone Calls

I like the built in switch and higher power but did not work with iPhones. I had Geeksquad install these to make sure they worked properly. No issues with previous wifi, but these dropped iPhone 14 wifi calls reliably after a few minutes. Tried with wife's phone as well. Phones and Orbi's were all on latest firmware. Returned for Eero's and have had no issues.

This is hands down the best WiFi mesh system you can get. The range is stunning. I definitely recommend this if you’re in a large home. Also if you’re looking to future proof your system, this is the one. It’s expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Tried another less expensive Orbi model advertised to handle a 4K SF house, but it failed. Returned it and purchased the AX6000...plenty of signal that answered the mail in spades. It is true, you get what you pay for. Awesome product!

    Kills incoming internet speed badly.

Drops 1,200 incoming speed to 210. Have to reset frequently to get some speed back. Same result even if I am standing right next to the main modem/router. Not good for the orice.

Huge improvement in our internet speeds. Combined this with the Motorola modem and we more than doubled our internet speed. Works great for our entire house and outdoor security cameras.

so far so good only downfall that I see is that you can't put time limits on the wifi connected devices, meaning that if I only wanted a connected device to be offline between 12am-6am you could do that. Otherwise no problems so far.

You will never be so happy with a piece of technology. Netgear has nailed this one. It's extremely pricey and worth every penny. My big complaint is the App is weak when it comes to customization and cant get LED's to stay on or off.

These are awesome! I read some reviews about losing wifi coverage, but I have not experienced that at all. No degradation of WiFi, seamless coverage through my house (4800 sq ft). Great purchase, very happy with the product!

Piece of crap and support is pathetic. Network connection works ok but cannot access the router using orbi app or using standard browser access. Have done new setup multiple times. Netgear has a major disconnect between support people and developers ... developers are waaayyyy behind on fixing Orbi software errors.

Not really happy with coverage. I have a 1300sq ft home and still had to hardwire to a switch to get optimal gig speeds. Tried changing channels, upgrading firmware etc. Not worth the price in my opinion

      Hi WyeRiver,

Wireless routers, access points, and adapters send and receive radio wave signals through antennas. To optimize your wireless range, we suggest checking this resource: https://kb.netgear.com/1114/Improving-wireless-range-Overview
