I have gigabit internet and was using the Google Nest Mesh wifi system but the performance wasn’t great. I was getting roughly 400mbs near the main router and about 100mbs near the satellites. When my children were home and on their devices, there was at times a noticeable performance drop. So I decided to invest in the Orbi. Immediately I could tell a difference. I was now getting north of 700mbs at the main router and almost 300mbs on the satellites. Setup was a breeze and I appreciate that the main router and satellites each have 4 Ethernet ports. It does lack some features that the Nest had such bad being able to put devices on a timer (or even group devices) and the ability to prioritize a device and the Orbi was very expensive, but all in all I’m glad I made the upgrade.

    Excellent MESH System

Outrageously good wifi speeds. No matter where I am in my house I can make full use of my bandwidth. Fast transfer between computers/NAS and no more dead-spots. My only complaint is I wish there was a way to force devices to try to connect to a specific access point but I suppose that defeats the purpose of a MESH system. Overall it's a bit pricey but seems to be the top-of-the-line. If you're upgrading from another Orbi system be aware they are not cross-compatible and as of right now there are no ways to purchase additional satellites (although per Netgear they should be on sale soon).

    Fastest Wifi6 Mesh Router around

I upgraded from the old Orbi RBK50 to this latest one with WIFI 6. so I'm very familiar with the setup process and initial firmware updates plus the recommended factory resets before use after updating firmware just in case. Orbi Router to AT&T Fiber speed tests delivered my max 1 Gbps speeds. I have several devices already WIFI 6 ready in the home and there is definitely a difference in terms of response of video streaming coming up as soon as we click on them. Older 802.11g/n devices also saw better responsiveness probably with upgrade of CPU speed. I have about 30 - 40 wireless devices connected at at given time in a 3000sqft, 3 floor home from wireless security cameras to Netflix streaming. Coverage is A++ and it's able to handle everything like the previous gen Orbi but even faster. Can't wait to upgrade all my devices to 802,11ax (WIFI 6) because this generation is definitely a leap in wireless technology and impressive with the way it prioritizes WIFI 6 devices. No issues, so far so good. On a side note, price is VERY expensive at this time. Placement of Orbi Router and Satellite on wireless backhaul is important for a stable connection for devices connected to the Satellite. Once you find the sweet spot in your home, it's good. If you do decide to get this now (year one), be ready for slew of firmware updates cause this just came out. You will feel like beta testing firmware for Netgear for at least the first year. It's the price to pay to be an early adopter for having the latest and greatest these days with any technology.

the new system is much better than the previous version. I went from a base plus three satellites to the new large home system (3 pack) and my signals around the 6000 sq ft home are much stronger.... full signal, to be specific. The major problem came in setting them up. For some reason the units did not fully firmware update during setup so all went bad. With the help of tech support, we figured out the issue and they manually update the units. The last issue was network name. We tried to use the same name as the old system. After many attempts and experimenting, support finally suggested we change the network name. All was fine after that but I did have to go back and update the network for all 78 devices around the house. bummer....

I needed a faster wifi and better coverage throughout the house. This has done an excellent job with both. Set up is extremely easy and only takes a couple of minutes. The only downside is the cost so look out for coupons or discounts.

Great product with great features. Big fan of netgear products and even a bigger fa of thier Orbi line. Great coverage and great spead! Only down side is price but this is along the line of you get what you pay for. If you skimp on your wifi setup. Your connectivity will suffer.. no since in paying for high speed internet of you dont back it woth the propper equipment. Deff recomend.

Got rid of 4 dead spots and the speed is fantastic. It is an easy setup for the novice user. Does not seem to have power user settings as far as I can see. Customer service is very helpful... even for the power user.

I purchased the AX6000 WiFi6 bundle with 2 satellites to improve the WiFi performance in our multi-floor 2,800 sq/ft home as there were poor performance zones including no access at all in the back yard. The system was intuitive to setup and went w/o a hitch. I am now regularly achieving 1,000 Mbps upload and download speeds, even in the back yard! I am extremely delighted with this product!

After 2 days and ~2 hours on the phone with tech support, I finally got my system working. We determined that the Spectrum modem I had was limiting the Orbi to 100Mbs. I got a new modem and it did the same thing. I was going to take the system back when I decided to try a different order of connecting the router to the modem. I had everything hooked up then I unplugged the modem and waited several minutes before reconnecting the power. When I used that sequence, the modem recognized the Orbi and gave it the full 2500Mbs connection. All was good! Good signal and excellent internet speed throughout the house. Unless something happens, I am very satisfied with this system.

I previously had the Orbi AX3000 mesh wifi system 2 pack. I purchased the Orbi AX6000 after reading reviews and needing more coverage and faster speed for streaming video and having multiple users in my home. What a great system.

Fabulous upgrade from what I had. But infinitely better than the Wi-Fi that comes with your cable provider equipment. Am in IT, I am a Trainer and I teach over zoom, I had a mesh system, but since adding a Wi-Fi alarm, 2 Alexa’s and a whole bunch of smart devices my mesh Wi-Fi would cut out. Usually whilst I’m teaching, this is unacceptable. I bought the Orbi as a last ditch attempt and I wish I’d have got one years ago. It’s amazing and blisteringly fast.
